My name is Robert Roberg. I am an English professor at the University of Florida and I am a 3-D Fluorescent Artist.
My team and I would like to create America’s first fluorescent 3-D art museum. I have been doing fluorescent black light art for many years and about ten years ago discovered Chroma Depth glasses, and by following their web tutorials, have been able to transform my art into 3-D black light paintings. We are looking for space to convert into a not-for Profit museum in The Village of the Arts in the "Bradenton Florida .
The village of the Arts is "Florida's largest Art colony". The Village contains over 35 art studios. Our goal is to purchase a house, or building, and turn it into a museum.
We need your help. In order to purchase and prepare the museum we estimate we will need $160,000.00. This will include remodeling a space, lighting, fees for legally incorporating locally, statewide and federally. Within the first year we plan to apply for non-profit status. The non-profit will own the house and the museum will be administered by a board. We will offer classes in many genres of art with a special emphasis on children.
I have two paintings in the Smithsonian Museum of Art and one of my paintings appeared on the front page of the New York Times. I say this to show that I am a serious and recognized artist.
Please contribute to this once in a life time project. You will be enriching the community, educating children and preserving a unique art form.
What You Get
If you read the list of perks you will see you can sketches, prints and original paintings. Also you will get a feeling of contentment to know you have made the community a better place.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some people right now can’t contribute any money, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help:
- Please get the word out and make some noise about our museum.
- You can use the Indiegogo share tools!
- Your caring may be the very thing that gets us over the top.
Peace and Love
Robert :)
