Hi, my name is Andrea Tierra, I’m a singer-songwriter born in Medellín, Colombia, and I am here today to tell you a little bit about my music and my upcoming CD wich I will love you to be part of.

I was bor in a family of artist, I grew up making music with my parents and my siblings and this cd has a lot of influence from my childhood in Medellín, all the folk music from my home land, now I wanted to put it together with all this years of experiences living in New York city where I have been exposed to a lot of beautiful music from a lot of countries, not only Latin America. So this album is a mixture of all this rhythms with my poetry an love and passion.

The album is called Lluvia de Amores ‘Rain of Love” because it has all the ways that I have been experiencing love this late years, I have had the opportunity of being a light to the world by giving birth to my 2 kids, I have been getting closer to God where I have had a lot of marvelous love lessons, I have a great husband and a beautiful life where I have learnt to accept my challenges, challenges that I think only with love you can achieve. So the album is influenced by all that, also by the love for my distant home land and the actual city that I live in.

I think when God sees the intentions of a heart He makes everything work around you and I have been so blessed, in fact, it is another reason to call my album ‘Rain of Love”, beacause I also receive a lot of love from the musicians that are working with me on the album, we have a great guest who plays an instrument from my native country called ‘Tiple”, so I feel  so blessed about it, his name is Andres García. We also have the company of Shlomi Cohen  on the Alto Sax, a marvelous interpreter of this instrument, he was born in Israel so he brings us this Middle-Eastern combination that gives a beautiful touch to the album. On the drums we have our soul-close friend David Silliman whom I call “The Poet of the drums”, percussion, colors and rhythms for the album.

And last but not least I have the blessing of having my husband playing, I think is a big blessing from heaven to be able to make music with the person you love, he brings his harp to give us a lot of his musical knowledge and it has been incredible beautiful to be able to compose with him, to create songs for our children or songs about our love story, and being able to record it now.
