I have been creating music for the ukulele and geeky music videos for my Youtube channel for the last year! I have a few videos I want to create, but need your help! I am a musician originally from Charlottesville, Va. but currently located in NC. My videos have been shot in NC and Va. at some of the coolest and visually wonderful places! I love horror, sci-fi, anime, video games and basically all things nerdy, and love showing that through my music!
Short Summary
I have been playing the Ukulele for over 10 years! I went to school for music and taught band and orchestra for 10 years. I love Video Games, Anime, Sci-fi and anything geeky! And I love to create, arrange my music and direct my music videos! Which is where I need your help! I have been funding (along with the amazing time of some amazingly creative people) my music videos for my YouTube channel for the last year. In a year we have been able to create 6 fully conceptualized music videos! And I want to get a few more out before the end of the year, and that is where I need your help!
What We Need & What You Get
In order to do this we need a little help getting them done, The money made to create these will go towards, Better instrumental recording for the tracks, Money to be able to use better locations (so far I have relied on the resources around me, but there are two videos coming up that I want to use areas that are not free to use.), as well as other aspects that I cannot do out of pocket.
- Each video I do takes about $200 out of pocket expenses from me, having a slightly larger budget means we can go all out on them!
- The perks are low on this one since they are thank you's at the end of the videos and an EP download of the Ukulele pieces I have recorded so far (along with the newest videos track as well!)
- All funds made in this will go to create the next three videos (October Video, Original Piece that is being written for me, Harry Potter theme and/or Game of Thrones theme (I want to use the same location, so both may happen), and Holiday video. So technically four videos, but the Holiday video doesn't take much money to do) If it is not all used on that it will also go towards the videos after that, anything made in this will go straight to other videos.
The Impact
The geek music scene is strong, and I love making music and playing concerts. Being able to show that the Ukulele can have the same response as the Violin or other string instruments and not just be the "toy instrument" is important to me and everyone out there who plays it! Also getting to listen to your favorite geeky tunes in a new form is always really fun as well!
Risks & Challenges
Risks of this project not being completely funded? Just means that it will take longer for each video to come out. So far I have two confirmed videos for the remainder of the year that will be made no matter what. I would love to be able to film the other two this year and get them out early next year, but if we don't make the funding then they will be filmed next year.
If I end up making more? then the money will go into producing the videos after the ones on this list! So any money made on this Indiegogo (and my Patreon) goes straight into making the music videos for my YouTube Channel bigger and better!
