“We are Arise Band, living in the sunny city of Durban in the vibrant country of South Africa. Arise is a band that could be described as many things but we see ourselves as a group of young, passionate Christians who write music about what is close to our hearts. With many musical influences at work in our personal lives, we find a fresh and vibrant sound emerging as we play together”
We are currently working on our first full-length album following our debut EP “Jesus Is” which was released in July 2013. The band is working with esteemed Producer Nik Fairclough who produced the award winning “Life and Times of Absolute Truth” album by band Tree63. Nik has also worked with artists such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman as well as one of our own friends, Tim Hughes.
An album for any band is a timestamp of their journey and aims to capture some of the life and passion of the music that they create. For our upcoming album we are excited to not only lay down the songs that we have been writing but to more importantly release anthems that will strengthen the church and inspire those who might be on a journey to finding Jesus. We are trusting for the words and music in this album to reach far beyond our feet and to lift up a sound that we could not match, as voices from around the world make these lyrics their own personal war cries.
WHAT WE NEED
Albums cost money, as we are sure that people know. Just how much money is up to the band itself in a lot of regards. One could record in their bedroom and make it huge like Owl City, or you could go to Abbey Road and come out sounding like the Beatles. We are aiming to capture these songs in the best way that we possibly can and that will be costing us a chunk of money. We are asking for your help to cover our costs of producing a quality product and distributing it around the country. Here is a list of what the funds we raise will go towards:
- Studio time
- Mixing and mastering
- Replication and printing of albums
- Marketing
- Distribution
- Merch for the album
We are not sitting back expecting for the money to fall out of the sky and so the amount we are aiming to raise on indiegogo is a portion of the album cost. We have been saving, working and raising the rest on our own so basically we are asking you to join us in funding the album and not simply asking you to fund it alone.
