The Story
Stephen Grey is a down and out Actor who was famous for playing BladeSpector, a Superhero on an 1990's American TV show. Grey quickly became typecast and found it harder and harder to get work. He is now homeless and is doing odd jobs in order to stay alive.
While working on a fitness video, Stephen finds himself in the middle of an abusive relationship between his co presenter Mike and Mike's girlfriend Alena. Stephen doesn't know what to do. Should he intervene? Or pretend the abuse isn't happening? This indecision haunts Stephen. Frequently he is sees mental visions of BladeSpector who has taken on a personality of his own.
Through the course of the film Stephen has to accept that BladeSpector was an important part of his life and the character can still even in the real world be a force for good.

Why are we doing this?
Superhero films have exploded in popularity in the last ten years. Our aim for this short film is to show the Superhero genre in a new light. Exploring an typecast actor who will take on the persona of the character he played into real life will highlight what might happen to real Superhero actors in the next few years (i.e. Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans).
Film shorts are often underrated or overlooked, and we want to make something that will entertain people and help them to appreciate the hard work and creativity that is put into them. We want this film to look and feel professional, but we can only do that with your help!
What we need & what you get
The money that we receive will help us to cover actor's expenses, food and drink, props, costume, location hire and more. The more funding we get the higher quality the production design will be. This will not only help us as the crew, it will also help cast members to be able to be a part of something that can help further their careers. Even if we don't reach our full amount, anything helps!
As a contributor you will receive perks such as postcards and posters, a copy of the script, and more!
The Impact
Having had experience in making short films before, we are constantly looking to create new stories that are fun and original for different audiences. We also hope to inspire other film makers out there to show that much can be achieved even on a low budget.
Other Ways You Can Help
Even if you are unable to donate, it would mean a lot to us if you could spread this around social media and get the word out there!
