First steps of the naval game project were made by Bombat game team in 2010. The project was conceived as an alternative to PC games for our own children. We recalled very interesting, simple mechanics of the seafaring miniatures genre. Our basic mechanics trace their roots back to military headquarters games of naval officers. The greatest historical naval battles were modeled in these games and they brought up several generations of naval officers. During our work in libraries we found rules of the naval learning game published in 1848!

Naval Battle proposed now for your attention allows modelling battles of the 2 opponents fleets (each of 4 different sailing ships) and thanking to this project we want to extend maximum number of players to 4 and publish English version of rules (currently we have it in the electronic form only). We selected Indiegogo platform, because it allows making project for Ukraine citizens, so this is the only good chance to start expanding our brand around the world. We successfully published our first game of our naval series in Ukraine in 2012. A lot of ideas on project development arose during our communications with our customers. With your help we can present the project in the USA, Europe and other regions!

We designed our fleet with great care. Models for our designs are real sailing warships, each with its own glorious history. When your ships sail across their gameboard sea, keep in mind that several centuries ago, their real "brothers" furrowed seas and oceans, salty air filled their sails, menacing broadside guns terrified foes, and brave crews sailed and fought their way into world history!

Naval Battle includes among its components two sets of four different ship models (in total 8 ships) that, in our opinion, are the main representatives of the Sail Epoch. They are Brig, Galleon, 28-gun Frigate and 100-gun First Rate Ship. 

Scale of miniatures is 1:1700.

A large quantity of sailing ships were created during the Sailing epoch. 4 models are used in our game. 

• We want to expand our game to 4 players, it means to create 2 additional sets of 4 ships with sails color different from the existing 2 sets (white and red).
• We need to print English rules of the game. Electronic version of the rules is on the link.
• As the basis (game itself) already exists and has been played dozens of times, and we in any case want to expand number of players, we put the minimal target of USD 500.
• Due to the same reason you will get game in the period of 15th-30th of December 
• We ask you not only make contribution or purchase the game, but also tell to your friends about us when your kids will enjoy the ships miniatures and the game itself! And you will see soon other our games!

2 years ago we had a project on other crowdfunding platform. It was hard to make as we have to find an intermediary located in the USA (due to limitations of that platform). Also we put rather high target (USD 15 000) and finally it killed the project. It was very hard to take, as a lot of efforts (physical and emotional) was spent.... Now here we avoid these risks: no intermediaries and conservative target.
