Buckshot
is a dark comedy that follows Charlie Stillman, a struggling, pop country
singer from New Jersey, who journeys to Nashville to follow in his father’s footsteps
of becoming a country star. But when his father’s checkered past derails his
chances, his only job offer is to drive Buckshot Thomas, an aging, hard-living,
honky-tonk legend, from Seattle to Nashville to what could be his final concert. Along the way, the two
men forge a rare friendship, which could change both their lives forever.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Writing
a great country song is an art in itself and I’m not talking about today’s
formulaic lyrics about pickup trucks or bad break-ups—but an authentic tune
from a seventies outlaw country troubadour that chronicles a life lived on the
edge. Now that’s a song. With this film I set out to use that same mentality to
tell a story that would push the boundaries of a traditional road trip
narrative.
The film Buckshot
celebrates the unique era of Outlaw Country Music. The characters represent
an authentic look at a legend’s last days and an up-and-comer’s introduction to
the outlaw country life.

Making a movie isn't cheap or easy
but it's our favorite thing to do.
To bring BUCKSHOT the movie to
life we need to raise at least $40,000 in the next month to cover our bare bones
filming costs.
But $40,000 is the bare
minimum we'll need to get into production this summer. The more money you help us
raise the better the look of the film. All money from this Indiegogo campaign will go directly into the production of the film BUCKSHOT. It will help pay for locations (Honky-Tonks, Motels, RV), food and wages for cast and crew, equipment (nice lenses!), set decoration/props (guitars) and costumes (we'll need plenty of boots, belt buckles and cowboy hats!).
