We believe in making a difference in the lives of children impacted by HIV/AIDS across Ohio
Camp Sunrise has a funding gap of $10,000. To put on this year's Camp, we need your help in the next 10 days to have a successful camp program. Help us give these kids one week this summer where they can leave all of their troubles behind and enjoy a supportive and safe environment.
Camp Sunrise has been empowering Ohio children impacted by HIV/AIDS since 1994. It is the only camp of its kind in Ohio.
Effective January 1, 2014, AIDS Resource Center Ohio (ARC Ohio) welcomed Camp Sunrise to its statewide network. By consolidating with ARC Ohio, Camp Sunrise, now in its 20th year, will be able to continue its tradition of providing programming specifically developed for children impacted by HIV/AIDS.
What We Need & What You Get
We need the resources to provide a week-long residential camp for 60 children. It costs ~$500 to send one kid to camp.
We need the funds for:
- Transportation to and from camp for the kids
- Kids' stay at Camp Joy
- The kids' meals while they are at Camp Joy
You could receive:
- A thank you card from a camper
- A personalized video of the experience the kids had (once the camp is over)
- A mention on all our social media channels (8,000+ contacts)
The Impact
We need your help to ensure that we can host camp this year and every year. If you help us you will help:
- provide an inspirational journey that will change a kid's life
- create an unforgettable week for the kids that enjoy this camp experience
Risks & Challenges
Camp Sunrise has struggled to provide funding to put on Camp year after year. The new consolidation with ARC Ohio will allow for greater infrastructure and cost-cutting measures to ensure that our resources are being utilized effectively.
