Chapters of Fortuna is well on its way to becoming a very charming, humourous, and stimulating story-driven role playing game in the spirit of games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System with a modern twist of flavour. The RPG genre has always been one of the top styles of video games I've always been very passionate about and I am very excited to be finally making one of my own.

Crowdfunding is the perfect way for aspiring developers to have their game ideas not only heard, but funded by fellow gamers who would love to play those games without a publisher interfering. I'm not a fan of some ominous power looming over the project's development, picking it apart and overshadowing the developer's creation in order to make it as mainstream as possible. Chapters of Fortuna is more than just a video game to me. It's about creating a video game that evokes nostalgia in the hearts of gamers with it's graphics and gameplay, while adding a very fresh and enjoyable story and setting that hasn't been done before. The two things I am going to guarantee everyone right here and now are that all money raised for this project is going to be spent on this project (so that if I exceed the $10,000, any additional money will be entirely spent on designing additional content to the final game) and you will enjoy the final product if you're a fan of SNES era RPGs.

Chapters of Fortuna stars a cast of characters with individual goals and backstories that intertwine with one another, creating a gameplay experience themed around growth and evolution. The story includes making tough moral decisions at key points in the game, leading to multiple endings which will seal the fate of all of humanity. What the player decides to do, fails to accomplish, and how much of Fortuna is explored will effect the entire story and which ending(s) they will see.

Chapters of Fortuna focuses immensely on a sense of scale. The main city that Chapters of Fortuna takes place in is going to be nearly as large as an actual real life city, with gigantic buildings, long streets, and condensed living sectors. The player is going to feel like they are truly living in a metropolis, one that even the main characters themselves haven't entirely seen yet.

Time travel is also an important aspect of the game. Depending on whether you are in the past, present, or future, the graphics of the game would change to reflect that. The past has a more stylized 8-bit appearance to it and the future is more 32-bit, while the present is 16-bit, as shown above.

Chapters of Fortuna will only be available for Windows platforms at this time.
