CORPUS CAVERNOSUM
The first thing I want to say is that I believe in this project whole-heartedly. This is my favorite script I've ever written - something that comes from deep from my soul, something that will look and sound so special.
Tonight's dream is strange. It doesn't feel like other nights. I'm in a dark bar that I can only see with my flashlight. The people in it are being extra kind to me, as if guiding me toward something. I can't see their faces but I know they're smiling at me. I'm looking for my friend but I can't find him. My subconscious is screaming but I can't seem to hear it.
CORPUS CAVERNOSUM is based on a traumatic experience I went through. But the film will be silly. And a little sad.
My method for shooting this film is as such:
All dialogue is pre-recorded. The music and sound design is completed before shooting. A full audio track is made to play in the space during the shoot, complete with audio cues to let actors know when to perform their actions. The film is done in one take. Thus, the filming process becomes a wordless machine - a sort of live performance designed to be captured on camera.
As such, here is what the equipment rentals entail:
- Camera
- Wireless follow focus
- Wireless monitor/Terradek
- Gimbal
This budget also covers the cost of production insurance, renting the bar, hiring a bodybuilder for a key scene, and an original musical score.
Thank you so much for considering donating to this project. Making a film is like an event for me, and I know this one will be really special. If you'd like to read the script before donating please email edschwartz702@gmail.com.
