ABOUT
‘Corvidae’, starring Maisie Williams (‘Game of Thrones’), is a short, silent pastoral horror film written and directed by Tom de Ville. It's already been shot and is now raising funds to complete post-production.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
We have self-financed the full 5-day shoot, in multiple locations shooting on an Arri Alexa, as well as working in a green screen studio with wire work and a live crow!
We now need to complete the film, and although the edit is in the final stages we still need funds to complete all the VFX work and the rest of the post-production.
The funds we are asking for will be split across the VFX, the colour grade, the music, titles, sound design and all the ancillary costs associated with top level festival submissions like Sundance and Cannes as well as promoting the film.
WHY CONTRIBUTE? WHY CORVIDAE?
In an age where the horror genre conjures up images of cheap slasher movies, we wanted to make a film with backbone, which is spine tingling yet rooted in a real living heritage of pastoral horror.
Everyone we approached was instantly drawn in to the story, the genre and the vision.
Be a part of an ambitious short film, which has already been shot and is halfway through post production. This is a chance of a lifetime to get involved with a high potential project of epic proportions.
THE STORY
Corvidae is a dark fairy tale about a young girl who loves birds, and the very strange thing that happens when she tries to protect a wounded crow from the boys in her village. Rooted in the tradition of pastoral horror it is a short, silent film.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE RAISE MORE THAN OUR TARGET?
If we raise more than our target, we'll get even better VFX and even better music. Oh, and 15% of funds raised above our target will be donated to a charity of Maisie Williams' choice.
