Help Kim Nicolini's Dead Rock Stars Come To Life

Kim Nicolini has been drawing with pens since she was a young girl. Her Dead Rock Star project is a culmination of 52 years of drawing, channeling emotion and spirit and the frailty of human nature and creating seismic maps on paper of the human psyche with all its complex longings, passions, terrors and vulnerabilities.

Kim has been offered a solo show of her Dead Rock Stars series at Beyond Baroque in Venice, CA, and she needs your help to make this show a reality.

Every dollar donated to this campaign will help Kim fund materials to make her lifetime dream come true. Working her way from the ground up, literally receiving a street education during her teen years, Kim is a self-taught artist who has poured her very soul and every inch of her life experiences and her intense compassion for others into her work. This show is her chance to share her work with the world. Please help her make it a success.

What Kim Needs and What You Will Get

Kim needs to raise $3,000 for expenses related to her solo show. These include the cost of matting and framing her art, book production, posters, postcards, promotional and advertisement materials, and travel so Kim can be in LA for the show.

• Kim has fought tooth and nail throughout her life to make art, to develop her style, to put her life experiences and human empathy into art. This exhibit gives her a chance to solidify her hard work and the long road she has traveled in real terms.
  
• Kim has always been a resourceful survivor. If she is unable to meet her goal, she will find new and creative ways to hang her work, but since this is a First In Her Life Opportunity, she wants the show to look great, be great, and exhibit her work in the way it deserves with white mats inside black frames en masse filling the gallery, and with finally crafted books which contain Kim's unique and impassioned writing to accompany the show.
