We've been racking our brains for a decent solution to have as many of you as possible at our Presentation of Findings Live event in London next week. Of course, aside from you buying a €50 ticket to join us there, the natural solution would be for us to do a live stream here but we don't think live streaming a panel event with lots of sides and multiple speakers from a single iPhone could do it all justice.
So we thought about selling tickets to do something a bit slicker but that runs the risk of us not selling enough tickets to cover our costs - and we can't risk eating away at our small reserves as this is desperately needed to cover the last few bits of post-processing and research.
What to do? We need to raise €1000 to provide a decent quality livestream and have a little bit left over to put in the kitty...Then it dawned on us, why not run a micro-crowdfunder for 1 week? It's not like we haven't been crazy enough to think that would work before, eh?
We're running this 6-day micro-crowdfunding campaign to raise €1000. Everyone that pledges €10 or more will get access to the livestream and a replay of the presentation of findings event taking place next Monday night in London with our special guests.
***NEW PERK ALERT!***
For €20.00 you'll get access to the live stream AND be invited to join our Virtual Dig Team private Facebook group. In the group you'll be able to catch-up with every single daily live stream from the 8-week excavation, access loads of videos, photos, posts, and join our thriving community with over 1000 members!
Background
Dig Hill 80 is owned and operated by Project Whitesheet VZW, a registered charity in Brugge, Belgium.
After a successfully funded crowdfunding campaign in December 2017, Team Dig Hill 80 excavated a well-preserved German strongpoint at a ridge top known as 'Hill 80' near the village of Wijtschate in Belgium.
In April 2018 people of all ages and from all over world will meet to jointly work side by side to uncover a piece of their history (where a century before their ancestors slaughtered one another). This dig is about much more than the fallen. It is an international project which is about education, peace, reconciliation. Without jingoism.
