DUCK STORY
Hi, We're Matt & Alison, the creators of an exciting new children's illustrated book that we're offering YOU the opportunity of featuring in, and we're trying to raise aware and funds to turn it into an animated feature film!!
In an inner-city park, Goldie, a grumpy duck detective, who works for the Pond Police, is on the hunt for a thief who’s been stealing ducklings. Goldie and his new, boisterous partner, young Manny the Mandarin duck, must work together to unravel the mystery with the help of the elite birds of prey team; the MI-DIVE…
The book is about a Harpy eagle who comes to England and finds a beautiful park filled with an abundance of food and juicy ducklings, and the duck detectives who are searching for a missing duckling and swan prince.
The idea came from the hundreds of trips we've taken to Kelsey Park, a beautiful park in South-East London, but our story represents so many local parks all over the world.

About the project:
- The park in the book is very diverse and features an abundance of wildlife including; Egyptian and Canadian Geese, Mandarin ducks, South Carolina Wood ducks, mallards, drakes, wood pigeons, tufted ducks, cats, rats, squirrels, etc.
- Our campaign is important to us because we want to make people aware of the opportunities on their doorstep to connect with nature and to encourage them to seek out local wildlife spots.
- Your contributions will help us to achieve our goal of bringing this story to life and sharing it with the world, including with various charities.
- This is the first in a series of books and ultimately our biggest goal (and dream) is to turn it into an animated feature film for everyone!!
What We Need & What You Get
The finer detail:
- We need funding to pay for an editor for the book, a fantastic illustrator, and a team of social media and marketing experts to help us build awareness.
- For every 5 E-books we sell we'll donate 1 free E-book to a children's charity or other charity.
- We have some wonderfully unique perks such as the e-book itself, signed postcards & posters, as well as the exciting opportunity to feature in the book yourself:
- Have you ever wanted to be a character in a book?
- Or perhaps you'd like to name a duckling named after one of your kids?
- Or surprise your significant other by having a small or main character named after them!!

Although we would love to reach our target, if we don't reach our entire goal, the funds we receive will still help us on our journey!
The Impact
The difference your contribution will make is huge, whether you donate £1 or £1,000 every penny raised will help us share our book with the world. One of the most important parts of our project is that we want to share the E-book with various children's charities and other charities who we can donate the book to, we think this will also be a way for you to contribute! The money we raise will also go towards printing these out as hardback books.

Risks & Challenges
Of course, like with every project, there are always risks, but we believe that with our drive and determination we can overcome any obstacles we may face on the way to achieving our goal.
Both Matt and Alison have over a decade of combined experience working in the film industry where we have learnt how to assist in bringing stories to life and value storytelling has to everybody.
