Our Story
In the 1980s, Wellness PEMF founder, Dr. Bart Flick MD working with Dr. Robert Becker (author of The Body Electric) at the State University of New York, became fascinated with the response of biological systems to electromagnetic fields, initially with fracture healing and complex wounds. Opening a private practice in the late 1980s, Dr. Flick developed over the next 30 years a “Clinical Incubator” to prototype, manufacture, and clinically test pulsed electric, electromagnetic, and magnetic field generating devices. Over the past ten years, Dr. Flick has focused his attention on leading a group of medical and technology professionals, drawn together by a deep friendship and a shared curiosity for new pathways for optimizing health focusing primarily on the energy fields generated by pulsed magnetic devices. Dr. David Matthews-Morgan, a Ph.D. Physicist and lead software programmer, joined the team in 2015. What Our Clinical Experience Has Taught Us
Over the past 10 years, evaluating the clinical effectiveness of the PEMF treatments of over 500 patients from the practice of Mountain Medical Specialties has focused on modifying and improving:
the frequency-generating hardware;
the PC-based software programming the frequency generators and;
the frequencies and frequency combinations that make up the treatment files.
Updating the hardware, software, and treatment files has improved patient compliance and acceptance of PEMF technology. Compliance has a direct correlation with clinical improvement.

The first $300,000 dollars will be used to accelerate the manufacturing of the EMME and the development of the iPhone and Android smartphone apps that will deliver wellness programs to the EMME via Bluetooth. The estimated funding for the manufacturing of an anticipated number of EMME devices is approximately $220,000 dollars. The estimated funding for the continuing app development for iPhone and Android smart devices is $80,000 dollars. If the funding goal is not reached, the funds received will go primarily to manufacturing the EMME and secondarily toward improving the smartphone apps as they are today. All donors who provided funds to receive the perk of one or more EMMEs will receive the EMME (which includes the 30 wellness programs listed above) as well as a Wellness PEMF t-shirt.

The Impact
It is our belief that a new, energetic, healing paradigm is emerging. Magnetic and light fields will play a significant part. As the EMME manufacturing quantity increases due to your support, its retail cost will be reduced. Since our business model has no large corporate overhead, the Indiegogo funds will primarily be used to manufacture EMMEs. A future goal will be to find open sources for the electronics. Companies like Arduino and Adafruit will provide the low-cost electronics for frequency generators that can be programmed like the ones we have developed. Currently there are no seven-channel, programmable, Bluetooth-enabled pulsed magnetic field devices on the market.

The risks and challenges are minimal since the EMME has been designed, prototyped, and clinically tested with a functional app for iPhone and Android smartphones. Indiegogo funding will greatly accelerate the manufacturing of the EMME, while at the same time spreading the soothing effects of pulsed magnetic fields. Based upon hundreds of patients applying pulsed magnetic field programs over the past ten years, the clinical effectiveness has been between 75% and 80%.
