We are a diverse group of makers who share an irreverent sense of humor. With backgrounds ranging from stage to film to comic books, we hope to make an impact on the Portland comedy scene with original sketches. Besides filmed sketches, we'll be producing live shows at The Chapel Theater located at Milepost 5, which is an affordable housing community for working artists.

We need $1,000, which will help us with the production costs of our live premiere that include the following expenses:

• Lights

• Costumes

• Set pieces

• Video production

• Marketing

Each donor will receive a thank you in the Program Guide for our first show, In GOB We Trust. Additional incentives are listed in the Perks section.

Your contribution will help us achieve the following:

• Producing future shows and filmed sketches

• Diversifying the comedy scene in Portland

• Enhancing the arts scene in the Montavilla community

• Keeping a team of eight individuals motivated and engaged

Since the formation of Escape Reality, we've made much progress with developing our first show and filming several videos. More importantly, we've  found a home at The Chapel.
