THE STORY
Fair Trade is a multiple-language dramatic thriller set in Los Angeles and Mexico. The film’s story centers on Cesar, an undocumented worker with old ties to a criminal organization. As he struggles go straight and build his new life in the U.S., an FBI agent discovers his true identity as a wanted man. The agent confronts Cesar with a terrible proposition—one that will force him to choose between keeping his family in the U.S. and following his own moral code.
THE PROJECT
This is a project that will strive for complete authenticity. From the wardrobe to set decorations, every production design element has been heavily researched. Our cast includes many native Spanish speakers, and all Spanish dialogue will be overseen by dialect coaches native to the regions in the story. The soundtrack will also feature several Spanish-language songs from up-and-coming Latina pop singer Yvonne Alonso, who has granted us permission to use her music.

Fair Trade is being written, directed and produced by working production professionals who also have extensive film experience. Two award-winning directors of photography are attached, and the project will be shot with Red Epic cameras. Experienced SAG actors are also attached as all of the lead roles. Upon completion, the film will be submitted to major festivals and will ultimately be used to garner funding for the production of a feature length version.
WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING
Fair Trade is currently in pre-production, and we're raising funds for production, post-production and festival distribution at this time. Your generous donation will help us cover costs including equipment rentals, special effects and stunts, insurance, cast and crew meals, and many other production expenses. We have the help of many talented industry veterans, and with their donated time and your donated funds, we are sure to produce an unforgettable film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
