Story of My Book
Fast Fwd: The Fully Recovered Mindset Fast Fwd is a deeply personal, three year reflection on my journey with stroke recovery. From being completely paralyzed on one side to walking, working, and leading a “normal,” fulfilling life, in this book I share the biggest lessons I’ve learned in the process of rehabilitation and strategies for successful daily living post-stroke.
My name is Madeline Niebanck and I am the author of
Fast Fwd.: The Fully Recovered Mindset. I wrote this book to inspire other brain injury survivors and show that with the right perspective anything is possible, and that the idea of being “fully recovered” after any injury is all in your mindset. In this book I share my journey with reframing my perspective after suffering a stroke, and how that shift to positivity impacted my recovery in the best way possible
.
My hope is that, in reading this book, you will be empowered to find meaning and purpose in your life, no matter what you are struggling through. In this book, I hope to instill the same sort of passion and excitement that I have for the “fully recovered” mindset in you. And ultimately I want you to see this book as a tool to help you make the most of your rehabilitation and live your best life possible with a positive attitude.
In this book, you'll learn about the importance of a positive mindset in recovery and life, as well as:
how to redefine your idea of what it means to be “fully recovered”
how to be resilient in the face of hardship
You will love this book if you are a fellow stroke or brain injury survivor on the path to recovery, if you are the caretaker, family, or friend seeking to better understand the struggles faced daily by stroke survivors, or anyone facing hardship in life and seeking inspiration to keep moving forward. Life is happening now, and I want to help you find ways to make the absolute most of it.
Fast Fwd is a non-fiction book that speaks to brain injury survivors and support networks who are struggling with motivation and recovery.

Part 3 explores the mindset of a full recovery, highlighting my attitude shift after stroke and what I learned by embracing a positive mindset.
Part 4 explains why we need to set goals in recovery and in life, and work hard to achieve those goals.
Part 5 contains chapters on the importance of pushing yourself while recognizing your limits in recovery and in life.
Part 6 contains chapters on community and having a strong support network, especially when facing difficult obstacles.

"I wrote this book because I wanted to share my story with recovery and hopefully use my experience to help others who may be struggling through something similar. Risks & Challenges
The biggest challenge with publishing a book is delivering the finished book to the backer, specifically my mailing of the book to you. I have eliminated this risk by building into the campaign the mailing and shipping costs of your signed copies to you within each pre-order tier.
The risk of delivering the pre-sale copies of my book is contingent on the publisher we use. I will be working closely with New Degree Press to make sure we get the earliest possible ship date of the signed book copy to you. We will keep all pre-sale backers up-to-date as my book hits each key milestone and publishes. You will know when the copies of my book you pre-ordered are expected to ship.
