My name is Stowe Dailey Shockey. First off, thanks for reading this and watching my video. 

I'm a singer/songwriter working to make a longtime dream come true - an album of original songs called Flying High. I began this project a few years back and I was just getting it off the ground when I was diagnosed with Stage III cancer. It slowed me down but, thankfully, it didn't stop me. Three years later I'm back at it with new songs and a new attitude. And I have some very talented musicians lined up to help me create this fun album of inspiring music. 

This CD will go along with a new book I've written called Flying High. It's coming out in September and tells the story of how, for many years, I lived in fear, never truly realizing my gifts or living life to the fullest. But the experience of having cancer, coming close to death and then meeting a remarkable man named Calvin who loved to fly, changed me in so many ways. Calvin took me under his wing, shared his wisdom and taught me that "with every adversity there is within it a seed of greatness." I learned so much from him and I became committed to, not only surviving, but also being an example to others that we truly do create our lives with our thoughts and words. I am excited to be alive and doing what I was born to do.

I am asking for your help to bring this body of work to iPods, car stereos and laptops everywhere. I'll use your generously donated dollars to pay for the studio, the engineer, the musicians, the mastering process and the cover artwork and printing of the CD. And if by some miracle there's anything left over, I will buy myself a new all-electric car! That or I'll put it into making a second album of music geared toward hospice patients and their families. I haven't decided yet.
