Winter’s Are Dark In Alaska . . .

• That’s where the Light Brigade comes in.

• We’re in the final stages of making the largest light and sound sculpture ever created in Alaska. It’s called Follow The Light.

Follow The Light Is . . .

• Interactive (the lights and soundscape are activated by you, the visitors)

• Made from vintage Christmas ornaments that the municipality of Anchorage hung from the light-poles downtown during the 1960’s and 70’s

• An official Anchorage Centennial Celebration Project. Our subject: Anchorage’s next 100 years!

Follow The Light Will . . .

• Be installed in Elderberry Park in Downtown Anchorage for three weeks beginning on Winter Solstice, Saturday, December 20^th
• Be powered by electricity that we (and you, the visitors) will make right on the site using solar and human-powered generating devices
• Feature an original artist-created lighting design program
• Feature an original soundscape composition
• Contribute to the future of Anchorage as a great Winter City

Your Contribution Will . . .

• Upon helping us reach the $9K goal, provide us with a much-needed infusion of cash so that we can actually complete the project and install it on time
• Upon helping us reach the $15K goal, allow us to pay the artists 
• Allow us to pay for and install hundreds of linear feet of LED strips, T & L connectors, shrink tubing for weatherproofing, 1000 feet of telephone and Cat5 cables, DMX 24 channel splitters and controller software, motion sensors, arduino megas for the sensors, over 1000 feet of 10g wire, snow camo netting, massive numbers of LED strands, conduit, solar panels, power-generating stationary bikes, soldering supplies, mini speakers, clamps, USB repeaters, duck bill anchors, signage, snow-scaping and will help us document and evaluate the installation and its impacts.
