Story

For Brothers is an original scripted series about four college friends who reunite after post college interests pulled them in different directions.  When the guys, along with their significant others, are reunited at Derek's and Nykky's house for a special engagement, old wounds from the "good old college days" resurface that cause many to question the strength of their friendships. The series will deal with relationship issues, parenthood, stereotypes, brotherhood and the price of true friendship.

Nadine Barnett Cosby    Director/Writer

Nadine Barnett Cosby is a writer, director and producer whose works include both documentary and narrative forms, are heavily rooted in the exploration of gender, racial and cultural representation, and span across various media including film, television and new media.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from Lehman College of the City University of New York, where she majored in Mass Communications; a Master of Science in Communication Arts from Iona College and a Master of Arts in Media Studies with a concentration in Film Production.  Her extensive education speaks to the fact that Nadine has made it her goal to master the art of Communication and Media, with a focus on what types of content appeal to diverse audiences.   Nadine has written, directed and produced two short films of her own:  Her Essence (2011) and Rapture (2013), in addition to writing, directing and/or producing projects for numerous other artists and/or for commercial or educational purposes.  She is a passionate artist who is also very committed to cultivating the next generation of storytellers.  

Shaun Rey   Actor/Writer   "Derek"

Born and raised in the upper section of Manhattan called Washington Heights, Shaun Rey satisfied his calling in becoming an Actor.  He studied at the Penny Templeton Studio in New York City.  His love for entertainment, music and the arts lead him to this newfound career.  Shaun has been featured in several TV series on Investigation Discovery Channel which includes The Perfect Murder  and In the Line of Fire.  He was also featured on the TV One series Fatal Attraction and a new HBO Mini series,  The Night Of.  Shaun believes that the best way to become successful is to create rather than wait.

Jennifer Mary Mears    Actor/Producer   "Monique"

Jennifer Mary Mears was born in New York, New York and raised by her mother and two grandparents. Jennifer studied at Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City.  Jennifer first was introduced to the art of acting through her mother, Valerie, an actress in her earlier years. Jennifer instantly fell in love with and was mesmerized by acting after watching Imitation of Life—a suggestion of her mother. Jennifer’s passion for acting is in front of the camera and behind the scenes in the Locations Department for highly acclaimed shows and movies like Orange is the New Black, Blue Bloods, Show Me a Hero and The Wizard of Lies.

Jimmy Negron    Director of Photography

Born in Manhattan, New York City, Jimmy Negron discovered filmmaking early in life. He developed a strong passion for Cinematography and the ability to capture people's stories. In 1998, as a young teenager, Jimmy began working his way up the camera department ranks, to include apprenticing under veteran Cinematographer, Theo Van De Sande, ASC, on the set of Columbia Pictures', "Big Daddy."

Marcos Sotomayor      Editor/Actor/Photographer

Born and raised in New York City by way of Spanish Harlem, Marcos considers to be a full time artist.  With an AAS degree from the New York College of Technology and a BA in Theatre from the City College of New York, he believes he can achieve greatness by capturing moments, living in the moments and creating moments.
