Short Summary

• HAUS OF started out as a conversation about our upset over the busyness of city life and a real interest in building a fun-filled creative arts community that could be accessible to everyone. We noticed that we and many of our friends were unhappy with the hum-drum monotony of daily life. We noticed that there were many vulnerable groups in London that were not properly connected to arts therapies that would deeply benefit them. HAUS OF is built on the solid belief that everyone should be able to access hands on creative time so that they can be as happy as possible. Starting HAUS OF seemed like the most obvious solution. 
• This campaign is the first of its kind. This is our first attempt at crowdfunding, so we have set our sights high! It's incredible that our company has developed so much since it began in December 2018. We need YOU to help us put down roots in East London in summer 2019 so that we can really make an impact.
• Funding is dwindling from the government to local charities who help the vulnerable groups that HAUS OF seeks to help. We're taking it into our own hands to give back to the community. Mental health and homelessness are now considered a crisis and populations needing assistance are forecast to grow. NHS resources aren't sufficient enough. It's time we do something to lift the strain.

What We Need & What You Get

• We need a total of £3,000 from this campaign, a realistic goal we've set for this platform. We really need a total of £16,000 to make this project work, but we know that £3,000 will give us much needed start-up resources.

• We are putting these funds toward a studio, tools and cost of running our classes. 

The Impact

The contribution you will make will be FUNDAMENTAL to the success of our business. 

• Rough sleeping and mental illness are considered a crisis in London. People in these categories deserve art therapies that are low cost or free. HAUS OF is special because we offer a myriad of art classes under one roof. 
• We've already held successful classes and we're building partnerships with local organisations right now to help us expand our reach! 
• We, the founders of HAUS OF, have both suffered with addiction and mental illness for many years. HAUS OF was born out of frustration that there are few places of refuge to access truly wholesome experiences in London. London is a hot spot for partying and alcohol, but when it comes to improving mental health and sticking to a healthy lifestyle, finding ways to socialise that don't involve lots of money or alcohol were hard to come by. HAUS OF is a place that focuses on building community and fun-filled experiences apart from the hustle and bustle of chaotic city life. 

Risks & Challenges

If we don't raise a total of £16,000 across all crowdfunding platforms we will not be able to move into a physical studio that we have put a down payment on. In this case, we'll have to think about ways to continue HAUS OF, whether this is continuing crowdfunding into summer 2019 or thinking up something even more adventurous. 

• We've been working in charity, government and the arts for years. We know how to develop strong partnerships, grow membership, talk to press and market ourselves. 
• In May 2019 this business won the creative category of the Big Idea Competition hosted by the Accelerator of London Metropolitan University. We have garnered support and have plenty of people cheering us on.
• We're partnering with local charities who help us front the cost of our workshops too. Working with vulnerable groups is at the heart of our business concept.
