We’re making a movie!
GAME NIGHT is a short film that follows five friends getting together at home and hosting, well, a game night! Throughout the course of the game, though, one of them releases a demon and gets possessed. Then, it turns into a game of survival for the rest of the group.
GAME NIGHT will serve as a proof of concept for a feature film, and we will submit the finished film to multiple festivals, maybe even Amazon. The cast and crew are comprised of multiple pop culture and horror movie buffs, and we want to make it the best we can.

GAME NIGHT Mood Board
This is a film that we want to watch. But first, we must create it. The film takes inspiration from slasher films of old. We want to capture the feeling old slasher films from the 70s and 80s, with a little touch of present day. Of course, if we want to watch a film like this, we figure that we’re not the only ones! We want to make this spectacular movie for you, the audience.
The Story So Far…
Having just completed their own homebrew campaign, a group of friends are shocked to find a mysterious package arrive at their front door. Inside, they find a what looks to be someone else’s homebrew- complete with everything they might need to play the game. Things take a turn for the worst when one of the players dies in-game and gets possessed.
Where does the money go?
This campaign, with your help, would fund the entire production- from the paper the script is printed on to the programs that edit everything in post. Below is a rough break down of everywhere the funds will go:

What’s needed? What do you get?
We are raising $85,000 to fund the production of the short film GAME NIGHT. We are already hard at work with pre-production. Test photography is being done, the script is getting tightened up, and we are putting together a full-fledged game campaign just for the movie!
We would like to stress that we are contributing our own money to this production, but we would truly appreciate anything that can be contributed to help make this the best film we can produce. As noted above, we will be paying our amazing cast and crew for all their hard work. Then, of course, there will be location costs, production insurance, costumes, catering, and more!
Naturally, you might be thinking- “what do I get in return?” A natural question. Well, for your generous contribution, we want to give back to you, the contributors. You can see the perks on the right side of this very page! Some of them even have some special add on perks- so be on the look out!
If you decide to support, we would like to give you our most sincere thanks. We are extremely grateful for all your support. If you are unable to donate but still want a way to help, please feel free to tell everyone! Tell your friends, family, co-workers, even your cousin’s best friend’s dog! You can upload a link to your social media yourself, or utilize Indiegogo’s Share Tools!
For updates, feel free to follow the film on Instagram- @gamenight_slasher. We’re still building the page, so there’s not much to it yet- but there will be!
Of course, there’s always the risks…
There are many what ifs, the biggest one being what if we don’t reach our goal? The answer, of course, is simple- we make the movie anyway. If we don’t make our goal, we will still push on with the very few items we already have or can find/afford out of pocket. The only difference will be that the final product will not be as great as it could be if we have access to the entire budget.
