What
is Gamebook? From description it’s pretty obvious: it’s a book, but at the same
time this is a game. It allows the reader to participate in the story by making
choices. The narrative branches along various paths, typically through the use
of numbered paragraphs or pages. Gamebook turns usual reading into attractive
game. Very often, when we read book we want to participate in actions and act
as main hero.
Eternal Escape is a resurgence of the Gamebook genre in digital form of a
mobile game. EE takes the concept of a Gamebook to a new level: more
interactivity, more adventures, more opportunities, more mysteries and enigmas
in one book. You will be able not to just read a book; you will make your own
decisions, fight enemies and enjoy the atmosphere!
When usual gamebooks have pretty limited amount of scenes (kinda hard to put a
lot into small book, yea? =)). We decided to create our own book. And mobile
platforms allow us to make our game 3-4 times bigger and more branched than
other Gamebooks.
When usual Gamebooks hardly strikes 500 scenes, EE will be at least 2000 scenes
long. Of course, they will not stand in line waiting you to come to them =).
This amount allows us to make plot really branched. Each player will have
unique way to freedom. It depends only on you!
Well, this is not true, actually. Also it will depend on luck. There will be a
big bunch of scenes where game will randomly decide what happens. And you
may come few times in one place - and each time something new will happen.
Cool graphic arts, attractive fantasy/sci-fi plot and some amount of humor make
adventure in world of Eternal Escape deep and interesting.

As you
can see, there is ALREADY about 500 scenes. I've redacted map so there is no
details - just to make future game interesting =).
Also, first location (top-left corner) is available in our Demo, you can check
it on Google Play.
Why you will love this game.
EE is a big world with its own story. Gameplay is replicating classic
Choose Your Own Adventure books: you are moving from one scene to another,
choosing where to go next. During the game, you will be always facing
choices where to go, what to do.
You will be able to choose one from several characters with their own unique
features and skills.
We have created a unique playing universe specially for this project.
Script and atmosphere have been inspired by Warhammer RP and DnD. Tabletop
gaming lovers will be able to enjoy familiar atmosphere, supplemented by
nonlinear plot and battle scenes.
You can choose direction in which you will play this game. Choices of
directions and actions can cardinally affect your gameplay. Highly branched
choosing system will let you walking through the game in different ways again
and again!
Your path will be full of dangers! Underground mazes, deadly traps and
dangerous enemies – everything can bring you to death… or not – everything
depends on your decision.

No
one knows
his name yet, but his story is pretty... sad? It should be sad when
you wake up in cold dark prison cell with pain in whole body and head, with
no memory. And it depends only on you what, when and how he will find about
himself. Statue with your face, made 400 years ago? Be the only human on
planet? Who knows what happens here...
You can meet different people in game... and not only humans. Let me
introduce Tal:

Yes, Tal is an ant. If you can call
an ant the 2-meter-tall insect. You may find them somewhere deep under you
prison. If you decide (or it will be decided for you by Lady Fortune). Strange
and not ordinary... person. They are Hive Mind. Or they think so because of
intoxicating by pink crystals. They (him?) think that he (they?) knows
you. Well, my personal opinion is that he's just crystal addict drug taker. But
it depends only on you how to treat him.
You will meet a lot of characters that will help
you to remember. Or ask you for help. Or try to eat you!

Battle:
Main battle system of EE is Dice poker. It’s like poker, but with dices. Player
and his enemy both have ot 5 D6 dices. Each player rolls all his dices, than he
may say that he is satisfied with his result or he may re-roll any number of
dices(1to5). Player has go three tries to create the best combination.
After the third roll turn goes to enemy. It doesn’t depend on results of last
roll. At the end, the winner is the one who has the highest combination.
There are next combinations available (in descending order):
1. Poker – 5 dices with same image.
2. Quads – 4 dices with same image.
3. Full house – 3 dices with one image and a couple with another.
4. Three of a kind – 3 dices with same image.
5. Two pairs – 2 dices with one image and 2 dices with another.
6. One pair – 2 dices with same image.
7. Highest point – if no one has a poker combination, winner is the player with
highest sum of points from five non-combinable points on dices.
Winner of this game hits his enemy.

What
we need and what you will receive:
At the moment of beginning of the campaign, we have prepared prototype of the
project (Android version on Play market), which includes combat system, first
location (about 45 scenes) of the game. 4 more locations are ready and
currently translates (more than 700 scenes). We need extra funding for creating
missing graphics, music and extend game plot (goal is more than 2000
scenes). Also, funds will go to improve game arts, design and music.
(Update8) Currently demo app includes 200+ scenes. Enjoy second game chapter included! Next week third chapter with 180+ scenes will be included too. Check our next update!.
Funding goals:
4000 – Successful contribution of main campaign
4250 – In-game shop. We will add a shop with different interesting stuff into
the game.
4500 – Second fighting mode. We will add a second fighting mode – Black Jack
5000 – Pets and Allies! We will add to the game and the shop pets and allies
that will help you in battle.
5500 – Encyclopedia – we will add an illustrated encyclopedia with stories and
facts about locations, player, races, history, etc.
6000 – More content! We will add several new locations and existing locations
will be expanded. More nonlinear gameplay!
6750 – 1 additional character and several new endings.
7000 – More graphics! We will add more images of locations, new mini-visions of
scenes on the scroll.
7500 – More graphics! We will add animations between locations and animated
stories about locations and world.
8000 - ???
Supported platforms.
The game will be released on iOS and Android. Other platforms will be
considered during game development.
Risks and Challenges.
Now we have anything we need to finish the project: programmer, artist,
scriptwriter, translator. Regardless of funding, we plan to finish the game. In
case of additional funds on translation and voice recording (and in case of
unpredictable circumstances that don’t depend on us) we may need more time. We
will public updates and news of our project and keep in touch with backers.
