Responsible for the original concept and design of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone product line in 2006, Steven Lamar was a huge advocate for using higher quality components for better sound, but lost out to other interests. 

Deeply impacted by the tragedy of losing his late-wife to brain cancer, Steven began in a new direction. He founded ROAM in 2013 to to blend his expertise in audio with a desire to make mobile devices safer to use.

In line with its own mission, and moved by ROAM's mission, Fred Chesnais & Atari have joined ROAM to sponsor a series of audio products, games, and beyond. In addition to its commitment to making audio excellence as affordable as possible, Atari has been instrumental in getting the word out to as many people as possible. 

More than 25 years of technical and manufacturing knowledge, making him one of the leading experts in the audio industry. Phil oversees all aspects of product development, engineering, procurement, supply chain management, product quality, and more.

Artists are a huge part of our product development process. Stephen Belafonte and others have worked with our team to provide valuable early feedback.
