Campaign Update!

Here's A Short Summary About Givearose!

Hello everyone! Thank you for wanting to help me make another woman's day unforgettable. My name is Michelle and I am the oldest of 3 sisters. My Give a Rose Campaign seeks to uplift women.                                                       

• How? Our campaign volunteers will distribute a pink rose which is a symbol of appreciation and gratitude paired with words of encouragement to 700 women in Houston that will be selected at random at 4 preselected target locations.
• To take things to another level, we will then encourage the recipient to either keep the rose for themselves or "Pay it Forward" and pass the rose
  along to someone in their life whom they feel is under appreciated. By taking this approach, our campaign could potentially impact over 1,000 women. Originally, we were targeting 400 roses BUT we've had such great support and are now able to distribute 700 roses! 

What We Need & What You Get

• We need $700 to fund this effort. The 700 light pink stem roses will cost around $600 after tax. The remainder $100 will be used to purchase materials to store/transport the roses to keep them beautiful throughout the day as well as to create a video that will spread the news of this campaign. If we surpass our funding, we will increase the number of roses purchased.

The Impact We Can Make

• Why are we doing this? Because it's not done enough. After all the struggles we have gone through to attain equality, it is so sad for me to see that often, the person standing in the way of our dreams is other women. We need to help each other move forward and break barriers. We should be working to have more women by our sides as we strive to make an impact. We all work very hard and sadly some of us don't receive any gratitude for our efforts. Help me say thank you to all the hard working women out there!
• A rose is one of God's most beautiful creations that fills the heart with warmth and sensation. When the fragrance of a rose reaches the tip of your nose, it fills your heart with delight and cheer knowing those you love are near. Today help give a rose to a hardworking woman, and make her feel appreciated!
• This movement goes beyond the physical rose. It's about the message that we are bringing.
