The description of the class from the Pratt website that Brent is hopeful to take is as follows:

Glass has a plasticity and behavior which lends itself to sculpting, and this course will provide a freedom to explore process and the potential of the material. This is not a traditional glass sculpting class however, as we will be using various torches in the hot shop to create more detailed work. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using a solid or blown form and explore various methods of color application. In this 5 day intensive we will be doing more explorative sculpting than making actual finished pieces. Sketchbooks are mandatory. At least two years hot glass experience required.  

 Brent will be offering a variety of glass sculptures in exchange for your generous contribution. Glass pieces will be signed by Orient and Flume Art Glass.

The money raised from this campaign will go towards :

*the cost of the class

* round-trip flight

*room/board/food/inner-city travel
