Our Story
The
Haight-Ashbury movement left an undeniable impact upon the world and
the reverberations of the psychedelic sixties are still being felt
today. Strangely there is no museum dedicated to keeping the history
alive and relevant for the millions of visitors who come to San
Francisco searching for inspiration and authenticity. A non-profit
community supported museum will permanently cement San Francisco as
the home of psychedelia. Our intention is for the museum to become an
attraction in and of itself that will educate and inspire visitors for generations to come to
reinvent the world according to how they want to live.
Help co-create the world's first museum dedicated to psychedelic art
and history as well as the first museum to be established through
crowdfunding. You can make this museum a reality by generously donating funds and memorabilia to the Haight-Ashbury Museum of

What We Need
This initial fundraising campaign is the first step to making the
Haight-Ashbury Museum a reality. The funds we raise through this
fundraiser will allow for us to begin establishing the museum. The more money we raise, the better the experience the museum will deliver and the greater impact it will have upon visitors. If we reach our stated fundraising goal of $30,000 we still encourage you to contribute because we need much more than $30,000 to establish the museum.
The funds raised in this fundraiser will
pay:
-To rent and prepare a space in San Francisco in time for the summer flood of tourists.
-For artists and designers to create an amazing space for the museum.
-For a dedicated grant writer to raise more funds.
-For a lawyer to file the official 501(c)(3) IRS application.
-For promotion at events, festivals, and conferences throughout the
West Coast.
-For the ongoing efforts to make this museum a reality (compensating work, website, fees, etc.)
