A GAME OF STRATEGY THAT WILL MAKE SURE HALLOWEEN NEVER ENDS IN YOUR HOME!
Shockfest Horror Factory is proud to present a tabletop game version of their interactive escape room, Hotel Paranormal. But be careful! you may get trapped forever in the house where Halloween Never Ends.
What We Need & What You Get
$5,000. That is what we need to complete this game for all to play. We want to keep perks simple. We do not want to promise a bunch of crazy bells and whistles when we can spend our time and your investment on making a solid game that you will not want to put down. But, we want to offer some perks you won't get anywhere else, so we are offering copies of the game, expansion packs, and exclusive opportunities, like transforming you into a character in the game or having you join us for our live event in Los Angeles.
The funding for this game will predominantly go toward the physical construction of the game pieces and distribution of the game. Additional funding will go toward payment for the artist, Michael Bayouth, who has hand drawn every game image to be its own unique work of art.
The Team
-
Guil Claveria (Game Creator) is the creator of the game Halloween Never Ends as well as the festival director of the 12-year running Shockfest Film Festival. He is a nationally award-winning multi-media producer and devoted college teacher. As an independent writer/producer/director/actor, Claveria has accumulated over two dozen awards for his thought provoking short films. He is a military veteran, martial artist, and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. On his spare time, he writes and composes musical theater.
-
Michael Bayouth (Illustrator) is a Director, Producer, Graphic Designer and Storyboard Artist whose work includes productions and movie covers such as 101 Dalmatians, The Aristocats, The Rescuers, The Return of Jafar, The Land Before Time, Gargoyles and countless other iconic films and TV shows. For die-hard horror fans out there, Michael is actually horror royalty, the infamous "The Son of Jason" (Ted White - as in Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th The Final Chapter. No kidding. Read all about it in his book on Amazon). And the corpse doesn’t fall far from the coffin. Michael is a horror film director and has earned his bread and butter as a storyboard artist on shows like Salem, The Orville, and Clive Barker’s Books of Blood directed By Brannon Braga (on Hulu, October 2020).
-
Matthew Rosvally (Project Manager) is the driving force of Halloween Never Ends. He is a national Telly Award winner for directing the paranormal travel series, Haunted Routes, which maps out paranormal road trips from across the United States. For the past decade, Matt has made appearances in movies, tv, theater and haunted attractions across the country, in addition to managing the various live productions of Shockfest Film Festival in Hollywood, Las Vegas, Salem and New York City.
-
Alesha Claveria (Copywriter) is a doctoral fellow in Contemporary Native North American drama at the University of California-Santa Barbara. Lucky for us, she also has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing-Fiction. She has presented her serious work at tons of posh gatherings, like the International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, the Assocation for Theater in Higher Educaiton, the American Literary Association, the American Academy of Religion, and on a plenary at the American Society for Theater Research. She has serious, academic publications in The Eugene O'Neill Review and forthcoming from the University of New Mexico Press. Astonishingly, she still super humble and agreed to work with us commoners on this wild and spooky project.
The Impact
Strategy. Fun. HALLOWEEN! This game is designed to relive the best holiday of the year anytime, which is something we do with our 12-year-running SHOCKFEST FILM FESTIVAL.
Our team has created live interactive events, red carpets, film festivals and gaming experiences for 12 years throughout the country including in Hollywood, New York City and Salem Massachusetts. This past November, we opened Hotel Paranormal in Las Vegas where, for three days straight, each floor of an actual haunted hotel was the location of a unique escape room. Throughout the weekend, guests collected trading cards from mysterious sources, vendors, celebrity guests and mysterious rooms. Whoever collected every single card first was the winner of the GRAND CASH PRIZE of $666.
Risks & Challenges
This is our very first mass produced game to be distributed to the masses. We have a lot of experience with media, live game development and entertainment and our entire team is excited to be taking part in this first time experience building something of this magnitude.
- We have experience sticking landings. Even during the Quarantine of 2020, our company, Shockfest Horror Factory, has doubled down to provide our audience with top notch entertainment at some of the greatest venues, including Times Square and Salem, Massachusetts.
- We have our development blueprint, we have our production team, and the game is complete. We now need the funding to physically build it!
