the wife + husband team behind Waterlily Pond, an art studio in San Francisco,
California.
Our
Experience: We have years of experience
in large-scale installation art for special events, museum openings, and are
well-known internationally in the floral design community for our
larger-than-life work and dynamic stage presentations. Our work is a unique
combination of sculpture, floral design, and architectural design.

Moving
Forward: Our ambition is to design permanent sculptures for public spaces and
architectural environments. For the first time, we are taking on an outdoor public art project, and are excited to share our vision with the city.
The
Proposal: An art-minded building owner
has offered us the opportunity to design and install a temporary piece on a
prominent building façade in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San
Francisco.

The
Design: A stylish, geometric, and dynamic façade. A kinetic composition of clean architectural
and organic materials alludes to the unique energy of the
city and the neighborhood.

The Details: We are constructing (22) 7-foot-tall aluminum frames, each containing a unique assembly of natural tree branches and colorful woven elements designed to catch and rotate in the wind.

The
Campaign: We are financing this project ourselves. The sheer scale of the piece and the safety/durability requirements
for the long term outdoor installation force us to work with strong welded metal. We are campaigning to raise funds to cover
the cost of the aluminum tube, tube bending, and welding. Anything helps! Thanks!
