Our Story
Steve Heller and his latest Kustom Kar, The Cro-Magnum, need to be at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, this January! This is the granddaddy of all car shows, where the famous big-time car builders showcase their latest work. Last year Steve's car, The Marquis DeSoto, won first in its class.
For Steve’s career as a custom car builder to grow and have impact, it is essential that he premier the Cro- Magnum at the show this year, which is happening on the weekend of January 28th. It took Steve and his assistant Mike Karpf two years to complete the Cro-Magnum, and showing it at the Grand Nationals is the only way to attract the attention of a potential car collector.
Steve has spent countless hours and money building the car and wants to sell it so he can build another car this year.
Cinetrope Entertainment, which has been filming Steve and Mike this last year for a proposed reality show called Heller On Wheels, also needs to be there to cover the event, but this time in HD. (We hope that this weekend will be part of the television show, so it is imperative that we shoot it on HD camera equipment.
What We Need & What You Get
We need a total of $8500.00 dollars to make this trip happen. Just to ship the car to California and back to NY costs over $4000.00. Airlines, hotel, film camera and sound equipment rentals, and personnel expenses make up the balance of the costs. If we are unable to meet our goal, but raise a minimum of $4000.00, the trip is still on. But instead of an HD crew filming for two days, it will be a single standard definition camera covering the action.
