Brief Summary 

I've been accepted as a Fellow at Lambda's Writers' Retreat in L.A., this June. It's going to be a life-changing experience; with the support of amazing teachers and a cohort of strong LGBTQ writers, it will kick my own fiction-writing into a new gear. There isn't another writing program like this currently; however, I need to be able to raise funds for the remaining costs of the retreat, and to pay for travel costs from London. Any contribution you make will get me closer to that goal, and will be greatly appreciated!

What I Need

I'm transitioning from mainly writing spoken word poetry to taking my fiction writing much more seriously. Being a Writers' Retreat Fellow will be a huge step in this process, helping to develop my short stories and make connections with other LGBT writers. Justin Torres will be leading the fiction workshop, and here are some of the other fellows this year... it's basically going to be a stellar group! Once it's over, I'll be returning to London with a handful of stories, which will go towards my much bigger dream of publishing my first novel.  

Risks & Challenges

I will book the flights by early May and I have to pay the retreat fees later in the month. Timing is tight and I need to be able to raise this money quite quickly! Having your support is the only way I'm going to be able to go.
