Hey everyone!
My name is Roy Aguilar, and I am Drexel University senior majoring in Communication. In order for me to graduate, I must complete a senior project that showcases what I have learned at Drexel. So, I decided to film a documentary about my hometown: Philadelphia.
Today, while the City of Brotherly Love may be transforming into to one of the most attractive cities for tourists, and gentrifying into one of the most livable places for outsiders, every neighborhood outside of Center City — communities that make Philadelphia what it is — comes with its own set of long-hidden problems.
Drawing inspiration from travel shows Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown and Conan Without Borders, my mission is to bring those problems to light, while also celebrating the distinct sub-cultures found in the Philly neighborhoods through its cuisine and the normal lives of its residents.
What I Need & What You Get
Since October, I've been working hard on my documentary, called "In The Heart of Brotherly Love."
As of late January, I'm relieved to say that filming for the documentary has officially wrapped up — and it has put quite a dent in my savings. As I enter the post-production phase, I need all the help I can get to cross the finish line!
This film needs to be edited, color graded and audio mixed — all of which involves specific programs. Other services I will use include graphic designing and Spanish subtitling.
Below is an estimated breakdown of the services needed to complete the film:

I want to present my documentary as professionally as possible. With your help, we can make that happen!
