Short Summary

My name is Dinah and I am a senior at Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, NY. In June 2013, I will become the first member of my family to graduate from high school. My siblings and I were in foster care and my sister has been taking care of us for the past year and a half, because my parents were unable to care for us. My sister is unable to provide the funds for senior trip this spring to a ski resort in the Hudson Valley. I want to have the opportunity to make senior year memorable and celebrate with my friends our accomplishments!

What We Need & What You Get

The trip itself costs $285 (which includes ski rentals, lift tickets, transportation and some food costs) and the reamaining $215 will be used for additional food costs and spending money.

The Impact

In the past, I have not been able to attend school trips because my family never had the money for it. I want this time to be different. After graduation, I will be attending college to become a nursing assistant. I am excited about being able to help those who have helped me along the way. Thank you in advance for helping me be able to make senior year one to remember!
