Hi! My name is Robin Hofmann. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and became a Certified Behavior Analyst in 1994 while working with individuals on the autism spectrum. For the past 26 years, I have had the honor of helping individuals, their parents, and the community through classroom teaching, behavior intervention, autism support and autism awareness. When I started this journey there is no way I could have known that eventually I would have my own child who would be diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
10 years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I have always had a loving relationship with food and was determined to maintain that relationship by creating delicious gluten-free recipes everyone can enjoy. The idea for Hoffy’s Heart started developing years ago. Seeing the growing need for “safe for celiac” eating establishments as well as the desperate need for employment opportunities for individuals on the spectrum, I decided it was time to make Hoffy’s Heart a reality. With your support, we can open the doors to Hoffy’s Heart and offer so much more than incredible, delicious food. We would be able to make a difference in both the celiac and autism communities by offering the following recurring events:
Community Awareness
Social Groups
Cooking Classes
Parent Nights
Newly Diagnosed Information Sessions
First-Responder Awareness
What we will need to get started:
Proof boxes $100.00
Cooling Racks $200.00
Muffin pans $200.00
Baking sheets $300.00
Mixers $1,400.00
Work tables $600.00
Food processor $700.00
Sinks $850.00
Chiller $2,500.00
Refrigerator/Freezers $8,000.00
Oven $15,000.00
Display cases (with refrigeration) $25,000.00
Opening inventory $20,000.00
Our goal is to create a solid business model which can easily be replicated in other cities. This can increase the employment rate for those who may not have had this opportunity and provide delicious and safe options for those with issues with gluten.
We are willing to fight as hard as possible to open the doors to Hoffy’s Heart. We full-heartedly believe we have a winning combination; between the quality of our baked goods and food and our community initiatives, however, we know the reality of how difficult it is for new restaurants to open and stay in business. If it happens to be that we are unable to open Hoffy’s Heart, every penny donated will be equally distributed between the Beyond Celiac and Autism Society organizations.
We absolutely cannot make this happen without your help. Please consider making a donation to Hoffy’s Heart. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand and wish you the best. Please consider helping by sharing our initiative with your friends and family.
Be well.
