We are bringing to you the ultimate concert film documentary experience featuring music from the movies Lord of Illusions, Shallow Grave, Phenomena, StageFright, Santa Sangre, Demons 2, Hardware, Dust Devil, Perdita Durango, Hackers, and more! Our project features the incredible work of BAFTA-nominated British film score composer and musician Simon Boswell who has been credited with soundtracks for over 100 horror and thriller films! Horror Music Legends presents Simon Boswell and his band Caduta Massi performing his music live along with new interviews and insights into his expansive and epic career.

Horror Music Legends: Simon Boswell is a feature-length concert film documentary including live music and interviews with the composer directed by Jake West (Dog House, Video Nasties, Razor Blade Smile) and executive produced by Andrew Hawkins (Mental Health and Horror, In Search of Darkness: Part II). Zena Dixon and Jonathan Barkan are also attached as producers, and Jason Kauzlarich (Fangoria) is the project’s Art Director alongside artist and performer LG White as Creative Director and J. Blake Fichera (Scored to Death, Scored to Death 2) as the film’s editor.

Our Story So Far

At EartH theater in London on December 11th, 2021 we filmed Simon Boswell and Caduta Massi with an accompanying string quartet performing live music in front of an audience of fans. This show was filmed in 4K HD and recorded in 48 track professional master audio. Members of the crowd experienced the greatest show Simon Boswell has ever put on, and a crew was also brought in to livestream the gig to fans and backers at home. The overwhelming amount of praise and acclaim received from this event ranged from, "This is amazing!" to "That was awesome!" and "This is the best concert I have ever seen." Now we are working towards editing the concert with all new on-camera interviews and we need your help and support.

The Synopsis

Horror Music Legends is a feature-length film project that combines a live concert event with artist interviews for insights, stories, and retrospective discussions on their work. We have been called MTV Unplugged for Horror fans, and we wear that label with a badge of honor. Our feature on Simon Boswell is the first of its kind and we can't wait to share it with you.

This was recorded at the same time as the filming crew captured the event in 4K high definition for use in the documentary. This livestream version will be available for you to view up until the release of the physical copies where it will be an extra on the Blu-ray and DVD.

The December 11th Simon Boswell concert included an expanded set of his music from Dario Argento’s Phenomena, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Santa Sangre, Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions, Shallow Grave, Demons 2, Hardware, Dust Devil, StageFright, Perdita Durango; and the evening of instrumental terror was also accompanied by stunning visuals from these iconic movies, featuring recorded video appearances by Dario Argento and Alejandro Jodorowsky performing along with the music. It was an awesome celebration of horror and Giallo for fans and we can't wait to share it with you and the world.

What we have ahead of us.

Delivery of the physical backer rewards will be sent out after the Indiegogo has ended. Backers who pledged prior to December 28th can reach us to have their rewards fulfilled before the physical copies of the film are ready to send. All rewards are expected to be sent out no later than October 2022.

All rewards will be shipped out from our fulfillment center in the United States. The cost of shipping for rewards is outlined in each pledge tier for fees to the US and other territories. All backers will receive a tracking number for their shipment.
