intuitive COLOR, a natural, nourishing makeup set that is free of micas, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and other unhealthy minerals is the next evolution in makeup – handmade in the USA.

My Story

I believe that even natural and mineral makeups are not yet safe enough. And that’s why I developed intuitive COLOR – a lightweight, blendable, breathable, nourishing type of makeup made with only natural and cosmetic grade mineral ingredients. Made in the USA with lots of love and care, intuitive COLOR proves that we can have better makeup with safer ingredients.

The three-part foundation set, our trifecta of smooth, color and set, is formulated with nourishing, line-erasing mango butter, beta-carotene and omega 7 rich sea buckthorn oil, and protein and calcium rich USA pearl powder.

I developed these products for women like me – dreamers, health nuts, natural beauty devotees, makeup junkies and all who are concerned with what they put on their skin that is absorbed into our bodies. I am inspired by the challenge of not settling for what’s safer, but safest.

Your Contribution

With the help of Indiegogo and people like you, we can spread the word that safer, healthier makeup is finally here. Being taken seriously as a cosmetic brand requires the attention of big beauty media outlets like Vogue, InStyle, Allure, Glamour and WWD, otherwise it will take years to educate people about better, safer makeup options. In order to do this, I need the help of a PR expert like Melissa Cassera who can help me to effectively spread the word and get intuitive COLOR noticed.

Why I Develop Makeup and Skin Care Products

I am a seeker by nature, always searching for the safest, healthiest, best option in a given category. And when it comes to the products that we put on our skin every day, I believe it is very important to get it right.

Developing skin care products for my line Gluten Free Beauty since 2010 has forced me to really think about our skin’s needs. In an ideal world, perhaps we wouldn’t need to wear any makeup, but there is a certain thrill to balancing out one’s complexion, enhancing one’s true beauty, and facing the world with our best face forward. But I refuse to settle for what looks good, but is bad for me.

Mineral makeup revolutionized the beauty industry in the late 1990s. It was the first time a real performance type of makeup that wasn’t laden with parabens, fragrance and petro chems became available to the mass market. And the message was brilliantly spread throughout the world with the help of QVC.

Now it’s time for a high performance, natural and mineral makeup that leaves out those minerals which have been proven to be unhealthy.

EWG’s SkinDeep Database links titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to cancer and respiratory toxicity. And micas, which create all those beautiful pigmented colors contain titanium dioxide. But you cannot find natural or mineral makeups that are free from these ingredients.

We don’t need these unhealthy ingredients.

Natural, mineral makeup doesn’t need these ingredients. There are alternatives. That’s why I developed intuitive COLOR with just a few natural and mineral essentials. But in order to want to use a product every day, it can’t just be safer, it must also look and feel amazing, lightweight and breathable.

It must be so blendable that you can dab it on as a concealer (cutting out one other product you would otherwise need), and so lightweight that you can simply dust it on, or layer it on for special events, and so nourishing that it actually hydrates the skin and helps reduce lines and wrinkles.

All of these components are possible, so why would we use any other type of product?

It’s time to say goodbye to dry, cakey, heavy, unhealthy makeup.
