Our Campaign

Our team at Piko Interactive concentrates in the development and production of new videos games for old consoles. In addition, we "rescue" video games that did not see the light, or were exclusive to a particular region by officially acquiring the rights to publish them, and giving them a proper release.  

We are now excited to finally bring Iron Commando and LEGEND to gamers everywhere!

Arcade Zone (now Hyperdevbox) sold us the full rights to Iron Commando and LEGEND, so we can localize and release NTSC and PAL versions of these great games for the SNES fans in the rest of the world.

While we have produced a very limited amount of copies of Iron Commando for our online Store fans (less than 100), we are ready to bring this great game as well as LEGEND to the masses! We believe these games should be played by anyone that still owns a classic console, and that is why we have chosen IndieGogo to be the platform to help us achieve that.

What if I don't have a SNES?

if you don't have a SNES Console and still want to play, we have a few options for you! You can pledge for the PC download key (Steam Key download) which will provide you a download code for Iron Commando or Legend. Then, you will be able to install the game on your PC; games offer USB controller support, so it would be as if you are playing it on a console. 

We also have a couple of perks which will offer the option to acquire a clone console; either a TV console or a handheld SNES console (Retroduo portable to play on the go!). Both allow you to pick Iron Commando or Legend to be bundled in.

Production

The game carts will be assembled in the US, and the boards will be soldered by hand in our shop. The PCB will be region free, however we will have options for PAL console owners to pick PAL style game cartridges. We have the packaging ready to go (Box, Manuals, and Labels). This campaign will help us know the demand from the retro gaming community, so fulfilling rewards will be just a matter of ordering components, assembling and shipping!

In 1995, Iron Commando, a Japan exclusive Beat’em up, was released for the SNES. Currently, the game is one of the most expensive for Super Famicom in the second-hand markets, and can pass a $400 value for the version that still includes the original packaging.

Game Story

Take control of either Jake, a soldier, or Chang Li, a martial arts master, in your quest to stop G.H.O.S.T. from capturing a radioactive meteorite. 

10 levels of brawling action with many unique experiences such as riding in a Jeep, mine cart and even a motorcycle. 2 player simultaneous play, stereo sound plus new experiences never experienced in a brawling game before. Punch, kick, shoot and beat your way through the G.H.O.S.T. thugs to get that meteorite back for the good guys.

LEGEND, released in 1994 and also for the SNES, is a Beat’em Up with a fantasy setting, featuring a co-op 2-player campaign, boss fights, and awesome 16-bit graphics. Almost impossible to find, a second-hand cartridge of LEGEND can pass for over $100 in costs.

Game Story

Beldor the Maleficent reigned as a despot over the kingdom of Sellech for one thousand years. All was chaos and destruction. Many knights went on a final crusade to destroy Beldor but none returned. The people united, built energized heroes and imprisoned Beldor's soul. Now, Clovis, corrupt son of the King of Sellech, wants to harness Beldor's power and conquer the kingdom.

About Piko Interactive

Piko Interactive was founded in 2013 thanks to a crowdfunding campaign for a new snes indie cart. The cart consisted in a compilation of 4 different mini games for SNES. That project was successfully founded and was a setting stone for Piko. From then on, Piko concentrated in finding new projects to bring to older consoles; we have been able to rescue over 20 different titles from being forgotten. These include Unreleased and Unfinished games, Chinese/Japanese exclusive games, and European exclusive games.
