Our Story
My best friend Nitai Das was an integral part of my life. He was my buddy, my partner in crime, my hero. We had an instant respect for one another and worked on countless projects in service to our Guru Radhanath Swami (who he introduced me to) and together we formed our Burning Man & Festival team Krishna Camp / Kitchen and have been cooking up a storm for thousands of lovely people at events across the USA ever since!
It came as a great shock and heart-break when I learned yesterday of his sudden passing in an automobile accident along with two of my other dear friends, Tim Carter and Yadupati Prabhus, in Jacksonville Florida.
Nitai's wife Mandali and uncle Nityodita and our guru Radhanath Swami are performing his last rites in Mayapura, India on Feb 15th.
It would mean the world to me to be able to be there with them, for Nitai, for being there for them, and for myself as well, to be there with Kuva and our other god-family and team-mates.
The Impact
For myself I feel that I need to be there or I will regret it for the rest of my life. For our team, I feel it's important to bring us together to carry on our mission, to gain the blessings of Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Pancha Tattva and Nrsimhadeva and Srila Prabhupada to carry on Their great mission of opening the doors to spiritual life for so many who desperately want and need it. We will take this opportunity to heal, regroup and re-emerge as a more beautiful family, to work together to sing, dance and feast a transcendental festival of life with all our brothers and sisters around the world, just like Nitai would want us to.
What We Need & What You Get
I need airfare for a round-trip ticket to Mayapura India for $1,664. Anything beyond that will help with travel expenses and bringing gifts back to everyone.
