A life cut short and a family left behind

Georges El-Rif was brutally slain in broad daylight and in front of witnesses in Gemayze in Beirut, Lebanon. For too long we have watched as the country falls apart and justice is withheld. This campaign is to raise funds for the family he has left behind, and if they wish it, to help cover legal expenses that might arise in the pursuit of justice. 

This is a chance to show the family that we support them in these difficult times, and that we will be one strong community. That we refuse the rule of the jungle and that the law is above all.

UPDATE (July 18, 11am CET): The family is now aware of this campaign and is very happy with our efforts to support. All funds will go straight to their bank account.

How can we help?

The campaign target is 15,000 USD to go fully to the family and they can use it in whichever way they see fit. This is a minimum figure and the more we can raise the better it is. He leaves children behind and anything we can give can help ease these difficult times. 

Why?

Because we care. Lebanon cannot become a jungle again. It is upon us to try to make it better.
