Who We Are

Kemerov are the brainchild of two guys (Matt & Giorgos) that grew up with ‘90s old-school deathmetal and Black Sabbath beliefs, but we could never really choose between the metal sound and the rock 'n’ roll feeling. Giving in to these schizophrenical tendencies, and inspired by bands like Entombed, Cathedral and Turbonegro (among others), we decided to put everything in the mix. We started off in 2013 with guitar, voice and occasionally bass and drums, as finding skilled and reliable musicians is not the easiest thing, especially in a small Greek city. We didn’t give up though, we kept writing music and rehearsing with the help of temporary drummers and bass players. In the autumn of 2014, Tasos joined the band in drums and, some months later, his brother Spiros took on the bass duties. This was the first ever full Kemerov line-up which still lasts to this day. From then on, everything took its course. We self-released our self-titled 4-track EP in November 2015, which received positive reviews from all over the world. We didn’t stop there; we never missed an opportunity to play live, and so far we have supported legendary bands like Sodom, Rotting Christ, Septicflesh and Jucifer with great success. What We Need

So, we've just got our debut album titled “FMKD” out. We put all our hard work and tireless effort and fought financially through the recording and mixing/mastering process, as well as the album’s release on CD. Everyone involved even a bit in music production knows how expensive these stages of a music release are and we have personally managed to cover it financially so far. The album has so far received incredible reviews from sites all over the world and you can listen to it at https://kemerov.bandcamp.com/ . It is comprised of 11 songs covering the whole Kemerov sound spectrum. There is a punk side, a deathmetal side, a thrash side, a doom side, even a more melodic side; we feel this is an album that represents us as a band fully and we are absolutely proud of it. It is already out on CD but we believe that it more than deserves to be out on vinyl as well, so this is where you come in! We aren’t on a record label and our financial situation is far from ideal, so we could really use your help. This campaign is your chance to pre-order “FMKD” on vinyl or support its production in any other way by purchasing anything else you want from our merchandise, be it CDs, exclusive and previously unavailable clothing or digital downloads; helping us make the vinyl release true in the process.

By helping us release our album on vinyl by ourselves without having to rely on a potential record label, you are giving us the power and the opportunity to make it the way we conceived it from the beginning, without any outside intervention on the artistic sector. And we would never settle for anything less than a perfect result; the way we were perfectionists in the course of recording and mixing this album, the same will be with its vinyl release. We want the listener who will purchase our music to really enjoy it, and we want them to know that everything we have achieved as a band, we achieved through them, the fans of our music.

Budget:

We are setting the budget to a realistic 2500 USD (about 2200 EUR), an amount that covers the vinyl production, as well as the expenses for the visual artist and merchandise production. (In case you're wondering about the currency, this is due to a late limitation of indiegogo's, according to which, campaigns from Greece are limited to run on USD only.) As you can see, we are setting an absolutely conservative financial goal but be sure that we are putting all our will and energy into this project. Anything that could potentially be raised above the set goal would be put into increasing the quality of this release (like, for instance, a new and better mastering of the album) and into extra special exclusive perks for the backers of our campaign. And also, as you can see, the purchasable perks’ prices are anything but “crowdfunding” ones; we are asking for your help but we believe that you are entitled to eventually get in your hands the right value for your money.
