​KlikR is a small Bluetooth product that can be stuck onto or right next to any infrared remote controlled electronic product, making it almost instantly controllable from your Android or iPhone.

The KlikR mobile applications allow you to organize all of your devices in your home, room by room. Using the app, you can then navigate through your remote controls in each room by swiping or by selecting from a horizontal list. If you want your family or friends to use KlikR, there's no need for them to set it up again. Simply share your setup with a QR code from the application's home screen. Furthermore, all your setup and devices are backed up on the cloud in case you lose or change your phone. Finally, KlikR is more than a universal remote. KlikR comes equipped with voice control so you can give commands directly to your smartphone. For example you can instruct the app to "Turn on the TV" or "Change the channel". KlikR also has optional smart pausing and muting in case you get a phone call while you are watching a movie.

What types of devices can I control with KLIKR?

KLIKR is designed to operate any infrared remote controlled device. That includes Televisions, DVD players, BluRay DVD, DVD recorders, Video recorders, Cable boxes, Apple TV, Set Top boxes, Satellite receivers, Audio systems, HiFi systems, Air conditioners (including window types, through-wall types and portable types), Fans, Air purifiers, Dehumidifiers and in general, most devices which include an infrared remote control and built-in infrared receiver.

If my device front panel is too thin, can I still use KLIKR?

KLIKR should be stuck on the device’s front panel, next to the Infrared receiver. When space is limited, KLIKR can be just be placed in front of the device, for instance on the furniture supporting the device. It can also be positioned as far as 4 meters, or 13 feet, away from the device and pointing towards the device.

How do I stick KLIKR?

“KLIKR comes with a double-sided adhesive reusable gel pads (and an extra one for spare). One side of the pad gently sticks itself under KLIKR and the other side sticks reliably to any surface, but can be smoothly removed without leaving any trace on your appliance’s surface. All you need to do is stick KLIKR on the front panel of your device with the lens of the KLIKR directed towards the infrared receiver of the device.

Can one KLIKR control multiple devices? 



One KLIKR can only control one device.

Can I control multiple devices with my KLIKR application?

Yes! That is precisely one of the main advantages of using KLIKR. Once you have stuck and set up your various KlikRs on a number of devices in your home (as well as at our office or at your holiday home), you can operate them all from a unique dashboard in your application, switching from room to room on the home screen and swiping from device to device. It’s that easy and you have all your remotes under the same application.

Can I control my home devices from outside my home? 



Sorry, it is not possible. KLIKR is a proximity device, operating with Bluetooth protocols. It is meant for you to operate your television, audio systems, air conditioners and other devices, when you are at home.

Can I still use my old remote control with KLIKR? 



Your old remote can be operated alongside KLIKR.  


How easy is it to set up KlikR?

Setting up KLIKR is intuitive, easy and fast.

As there is a vast array of audio / video devices, we believe that drawing and testing sets of codes from a database actually takes longer than just learning the codes from your old remote control. The application guides the user through a few steps of key clicks on the old remote directed towards KLIKR. The learning process takes around one minute. We use data base codes however for some video streaming devices (such as Apple TV) as these devices are extremely common. We also use data base codes for air conditioners, as these appliances operate with complex strings of infrared codes, which cannot be learnt.

What if my air conditioner code is not listed in KLIKR database? 



We believe that our database lists a large selection of most air conditioners models on the market, covering the top 20 brand names and growing. If your air conditioner is not included in the list, please write to us through the App or through our website.

What if I have lost my old remote control? 



KLIKR is not meant to replace your old remotes but to enhance your user experience when controlling home devices. Still you can use KLIKR to replace a lost streaming device or air conditioner infrared remote control.

What types of remote controlled devices cannot be operated with KLIKR? 



KLIKR works with devices which receive infrared signals. This excludes remote controlled garage doors and car doors, whose remote controls function with radio frequency (RF).  


How do I share my KLIKR with family and friends? 



Once you and another person have downloaded the mobile application, through our share feature you can generate a QR code (Quick Response code, or optical readable matrix bar code) from the home screen in the application, which the recipient can scan with the inbuilt QR code receiver also in the home screen. You can choose to share device controls by rooms, or for the whole house. In effect, sharing all your home remote controls takes a few seconds.

How does the smart feature work? 



When you receive a phone call, KLIKR will automatically MUTE or PAUSE any controlled device equipped with these features, and will resume the device’s normal function once the phone call is ended. The smart feature can be set to default through the Settings section of the app.

How does the voice control work? 



You can use the voice control button from most screens in the application. It requires 3 parameters: the action, the device name and the room in which the device is located. Sometimes, up to 2 of these parameters can be inferred by the application. For instance, if you only have one TV in your house, saying, “Turn on the TV” will be sufficient. If you are already using the TV remote control, the “Volume up” command will be enough to increase the volume on your TV. Generally, KLIKR is designed with an intelligent algorithm, which will best interpret your commands based on your location, your registered devices as well as the control screen that you use.  So far the voice control supports English but more languages are coming soon.

What happens when I get a new mobile phone? 



You can save your codes on the cloud. When you get a new phone, you just log into your account from the application, and all your rooms and devices are still there for you to control, in the same way as before.

How long does my KLIKR battery last? 



KLIKR is equipped with a battery, which can provide up to eight months of standby mode. Depending on the intensity of the usage with your device, you can operate KLIKR for around four to six months. We have calculated that for an average of 100 clicks per day, you will be able to use KLIKR for around 160 days. That means that a KLIKR used on an air conditioner will usually last up to 6 to 8 months, while a KLIKR used on a television set will probably last around 4 to 5 months. Once the battery is depleted you can simply change the battery and your KlikR will continue to work as usual.

How do I change the battery? 



You can change the battery inside KLIKR just by sliding open the battery door on the top of the KLIKR cover, pulling out the battery tray, and putting a new standard cell battery inside.

Do I have to manually reconnect to my devices? 



No. The application remembers the unique ID of the KLIKR. It automatically and almost instantly reconnects you when you come within range of KLIKR, provided your smartphone Bluetooth is set to ON.

Should I be concerned about the Bluetooth impact on my smartphone battery consumption? 



No. The latest smartphones use Bluetooth 4.0, which uses very little battery.
