About the Film
L-058 is titled after Linda-058, a Spartan who is an expert sniper and operates as a "lone wolf". Linda is also one of Master Chief’s closest allies.
This short film, under ten minutes in length, will follow Linda through her early career as a Spartan-II before the events of Halo: Reach.

I wrote the script for L-058 because I wanted to see something different: a strong female Spartan that has to rely on her own skills, and not an AI, to finish the fight.
With your help, we'll bring Linda's awesome story to life and show just how badass she is!
What We Need & What You Get
This project needs $10,500 to be sweet - a ton less expensive than any TV episode. Here's a breakdown of where costs will go:

At the start, I financed the project myself to get some props and the VFX made for this opening shot/teaser, so we have those to use. So, my heart and my wallet are invested in this project, and want to see it through!

The Impact
Over the past thirteen years we’ve had nine games, a mini-series, and tons of books and comics, most of which have been about Master Chief’s story. The things that haven't been about the Chief have still been about a lead male character.
I'm ready for a change, and hope you are as well! It's going to be absolutely insane to have Linda out in the field, sniping and generally kicking some ass!
About the Creator
I regularly shoot, produce, and edit various commercials, music videos, and short films. All of my projects so far have needed a great story and visuals, which I've been able to deliver on with an outstanding team.

Risks & Challenges
As with many visual-heavy films like this, there are risks of delays due to prop + visual effects creation. However, we aim to keep pushing forward until the final fan film is released. We've put tons of hours into this project already, so quitting is not an option! Funding is the only thing we need to get moving on the rest of the short film!
Additionally, Microsoft and 343 Industries may step in at any time regarding the project for various copyright reasons. If this happens, we will try to work with them to ensure the film keeps moving forward.
