We are BEAST – a rock and roll band from the southern tip of Africa. We live in a beautiful place with amazingly talented and creative people. Cape Town is our home and our Mother City.
After recording our debut album (Smoke Swig Swear) in September 2012, we released it early in 2013 as a free download. You can grab a copy over here: www.bit.ly/1hi2DbV.
Since its release, we’ve played unforgettable shows all over South Africa and we’ve met some wonderful fans. We’ve also written enough material for another album.
We are super excited about our new songs and would love to share it with all our superb fans and friends. You can check out a live performance of one of them below...
But we need your help
You see, we have all the material in place (10 new tracks), as well as one of South Africa’s best producers. His name is Brendyn 'Rusti' Rossouw. You can read more about him and his awesome studio at www.heritagesound.net. But making the kind of album that we’d love to record is going to be difficult, as we are not signed to a major label with monetary support. But we prefer it that way. Artistic freedom and creative integrity are very important to us.
We’ve done all our homework and calculations, and have come to a total of $8,000. This will allow us to:
- Record our album with Rusti at his studio during October 2014.
- Mix and master our album.
- Have really cool album artwork designed.
