My Sweet Orange Tree (Portuguese: Meu Pé de Laranja Lima), is a novel by José Mauro de Vasconcelos.The book was first published in 1968 and it was used for literature classes for elementary schools in Brazil. Also, it has been translated and published in US and Europe.

When I was a child, I like to read this book. I thought the boy 'Zeze' was kind of like me. 

He seemed to be strange and rude but I could feel that he had a good heart. When people grew up and forget that they were also kids before. 

I think Zeze's story should be told and heard by many more to make this world more harmonious and generous. 

It has been more than 20 years, ever since I read 'My Sweet Orange Tree'. 

Recently, IU a female singer from South Korea released a song about Zeze from 'My Sweet Orange Tree.' and the cover image was very controversial to many.

Sadly, it is out of print in US and I was able to find English version from small publisher in Seoul, Korea. 

But, the publisher is not going to print this book again, unless they get enough order anytime soon.  

I offered that I will buy 100 copies from them but they asked me to buy 1,000 copies with one time payment. 

That's way more than what I make from selling books on Amazon so far. 

I also asked other wholesalers to help me out, but they are not willing to help. 

If I can raise $3,000 on it, I ask them print at least 1,000 copies and hopefully the publisher will make enough for later.

I have bought all the copies that I can get from S.Korea and there is no more books in new condition. 

I wish that there are still people who would love to read this wonderful story and I can give them chances to share the great moments in their lives.
