Please Welcome our Debut Sensor and Diagnostic Application:

Designed to Test for the Safety and Potency of Cannabis/Medical Marijuana Samples.
Over the course of the next 24 months, the MyDx team will be rolling out the 4 different sensors, the first of which is the Canna Sensor. Designed to test for the safety and potency of Cannabis, the Canna sensor is programmed to detect the presence of the most important compounds of interest in Cannabis, including THC and CBD.

Early studies have shown that cannabis may be used to help suppress tumor cell growth, relieve pain and increase energy in cancer patients, reduce seizure episodes in epileptic patients, alleviate stress and anxiety for insomnia sufferers and much, much more. 20 states and several countries have now legalized the use of medicinal marijuana. Through legalization comes new regulations and interest in how different strains affect each individual, and this is where we come in.

When presented with a sample of cannabis, MyDx will deliver a strain analysis revealing the abundance of medically relevant cannabinoids such as THC & CBD, whose ratios have been shown to play a key role in how a specific strain makes people feel. The Canna sensor is also being programmed to look for a class of compounds known as the "terpenoids", which give each strain of cannabis its unique smell, and in synergy with the other compounds found in Cannabis, further contribute to the overall medical effect of the plant.

The MyDx App will combine science, engineering, pattern recognition and your feedback to start tracking how each chemical profile effects You. We comply with all application state and federal privacy laws to secure personal impressions and our goal is to empower consumers to create a private personalized profile that defines our ideal strain until our doctors are empowered with the tools to help us better define that profile.
Empowering An Industry
It is important to note that we chose to deliver our first sensor for MyDx to the cannabis world because it needs a friend in Science and Technology more than any other industry today. Our ultimate goal is to empower the industry manufacturers, distributors, consumers and regulators to understand exactly what is in each strain of cannabis from seed to sale, and how it has been shown to affect individuals to advance the science and the people.

The Technology![]()
MyDx leverages over 2 generation of technology developed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and used by NASA. Acting as an electronic nose, MyDx is engineered to detect molecules in vapor. The sample that is placed in the MyDx device is analyzed by multiple sensors exposing the chemicals that are present.
For you technical folks out there, the first generation target for MyDx is to be able to quantify chemicals to within 20% of conventional gas chromatography (GC) instrument values. Our subsequent generation devices and sensors will target a marginal error rate of within 5% of GC values.

Development Status
To date, the sensors that will be compatible with the MyDx Platform that are currently being developed with our esteemed collaborators can do the following:
- Breath based detection of active pulmonary tuberculosis in the field with high sensitivity and specificity with real patients.
- Toxic industrial chemical identification using a handheld detector.
- Readily detect representative organophosphates, the functional group associated with certain pesticides, at parts per million levels.
- Readily distinguish simulated samples of cannabis strains.
- Quantitatively measure simulated cannabinoids samples, including THC and CBD.
- Quantitatively measure certain compounds in cannabis such as the terpenoid Myrcene.
- Vaporize and Analyze certain pesticides such as 2,4-D.
- Detect carbon monoxide (CO), sulfure dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxide (NO), and ozone (O3) to measure the Air Quality Index.

Now, we need to continue to optimize our sensors for our applications, provide the best user experience possible for our existing software, build our strain database with our collaborators, and transition to full scale production that will help us achieve enough volumes to hit the future target price to the consumer.
With the support of our investors and the crowd we are very confident we can achieve all of the above goals and we anticipate we will start shipping round one of the pre-orders by Christmas of 2014, so we sincerely thank you in advance for your early support of this project.
How Else Can I Help?
There are 4 ways you can help.
1. Share our vision with your friends and family.

2. Share your vision of what future applications we should target
(given enough time and money, we believe we can detect almost any chemical at a part per million level that can be found in solids, liquids, or gases). Please let us know your ideas at info@cdxlife.com.
3. Join the CDx team in Southern California. We are growing rapidly and looking for talent! Seriously, we need good people to join our team. Please submit your ideas and qualifications to careers@mydx.me.
4. Pre-order MyDx at up to 50% OFF the regular retail price, depending on how early you commit to support the development and commercialization of MyDx.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some important questions we want you to
know relating to your contribution & our work:
1. What is the difference between the $199 perk and the $249 perk?
The
$199 perk is for a MyDx that will only work for the Cannabis
Application at this time and will retail at $399. The $249 perk is for a MyDx
analyzer that will be sufficiently sensitive to allow for the use of interchangeable sensors for various applications and will retail at $499.
2. When will additional sensors become available?
Our
hope is to be able to provide at least one other sensor in addition to
the Canna sensor at the time of the first shipment but we can't
guarantee that at this time. It depends on how much money we can raise
from the investment community and the crowd, so we appreciate your
support.
3. How do I clean the MyDx sample Chamber?
Cleaning
is simple. Just use a wet wipe which contains a little alcohol (which we will provide
as part of your initial purchase).
4. When Can I Get MyDx.We anticipate that we will start shipping the first MyDx analyzers in time for Christmas of 2014!
5. What Are the Risks in Development?
Millions of dollars, over a decade of research and 30+ technology patents are being leveraged to bring the vision that is MyDx to You. Our selected technology partners have what we believe to be the most established and robust technology in the space that is ready for prime time. We have validated that our sensors work in the lab. Now we need to finalize the design of our handheld reader board so it fits in your pocket, is cost effective for us to manufacture, and can work robustly in the palm of your hands. This is why we are giving ourselves until the end of the year to deliver a device we can be proud of. With that said, we have to disclaim that our work still has some risk and hence we cannot guarantee that it will work for all cases 100% of time. Please also note that all device images used in the campaign are subject to change. Actual device, sensor, and final specifications will be published on our website as soon as each product is finalized and released this year.
6. MyDx Shipping Policy
By choosing any of the perks that include the Canna sensor ("Pre-Order MyDx for Cannabis" or "Pre-Order MyDx Multi-Use"), you represent either (a) that you are legally permitted to use the device and CannaDx sensor as intended in the state where you reside, or (b) that you will agree to accept the next sensor we develop for the MyDx as an alternative perk. The MyDx with the Canna sensor cannot be shipped to states which have not decriminalized or legalized the use and personal possession of cannabis for adults, medically or recreationally.
7. Does MyDx Ship Internationally?
Yes, but regulatory rules in
various countries differ. We cannot control, expedite, or change many of the
rules and regulations that will govern how quickly MyDx will get to certain countries. However we are working as fast
as we can to obtain approvals, but we want to be honest and let you know that
this is a large variable we cannot control, especially given some of the markets we are targeting. If you are ordering from outside the United States, please add $25 to your contribution to cover shipping. If you are ordering from Canada please add $15.
8. What is your Refund Policy?
Please click
here to read Indiegogo's Refund Policy.
9. MyDx Product Warranty and Disclaimer
Limited Warranty. CDx, Inc. ("Seller") warrants to you ("Buyer) that, for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment of the MyDx analyzer and sensor (s) (the "Goods"), such goods will be free from material defects in material and workmanship.
Disclaimer. Except for the warranty set forth in the section above, seller makes no warranty whatsoever with respect to the goods, including any: (A) Warranty against merchantability; (B) warranty of fitness for a particular purpose; or (c) Warranty against infringment of intellectual property rights for a third party, whether expressed or implied by law, course of dealing, course of performance, usage of trade or otherwise.
