About Nergard
The Nergard project is a Melodic Metal band from Norway which saw its beginning in 2010, founded by me; Andreas Nergård, and has since then released two full-lenght albums + 2 Ep's. I have worked with great singers and instrumetalists from the metal world on these releases such as Elize Ryd (Amaranthe), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Göran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen), Mike Vescera (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, ex Loudness), Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind), Tony Mills (ex TNT), Michael Eriksen (Circus Maximus) Andi Kravljaca (Aeon Zen) and many more. It's mainly a one man show with a lot of guests, well-known names from the metal scene and local talents from the area where I live.
This campaign is meant to help fund the recording and mixing of Nergard's third full lenght-album. This album will be recorded during the summer of 2016 and mixed in the fall by Achim Köhler and as always I will have many great guest with me. I wanted to make this album something special for all my fans out there and by supporting this campaign you get to be a part of the writing and recording of this new album + get some rare stuff that won't be available outside this campaign. I always aim for the best results and all the money that this campaign manages to collect will make sure that this album becomes top quality.
MY GOAL AND WHAT THE MONEY WILL GO TO:
My goal is to reach 2300 USD. The money will go straight into the mixing/mastering of the album which will be done by the German producer Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Brainstorm) that I worked with on my previous album A Bit Closer To Heaven. Having an experienced producer onboard means that the album will have a high quality mix.

THE WEEKLY VIDEO UPDATE:
The video updates will feature 5 minute video clips every week from 1st of June up until 1st of December. Follow me through the entire process of writing and recording an album. Watch the songs come to life from the early sketches until the final recordings. Join me as I work on song ideas with a piano or working in pro tools exploring chord progressions, lyric ideas, development of vocal melodies and so on. Then take a step into the studio with me as we begin to record the album. You'll get to see the first scetches of the coverart and the developement of the scetches until the final results. You'll also be presented for the guest singers/instrumentalists weeks before the rest of the world and will get to hear some of their recordings as well.
THE MP3 PACKAGE:
This one includes both EPs that I have released + demos and live recordings. Be aware that the demos and live recordings are not of million-dollar quality when it comes to the sound. Still it might be fun to hear if you're very into this project.

The 3 demos are recorded the way I use to record the very first demos for songs that appear on the album. Fresh from the writing featuring me and a piano recorded by an hd recorder. This is meant to give an insight into what a song sounds like before it has been recorded properly. Who knows, it might even contain my demo vocals ;)
It doesn't matter if I reach my goal or not. Every one that have contributed will get what they paid for.
