We are a Spellarena - nerds, geeks, game masters, players and artists who grew up in the 80's. We remember the smell of basements and garages where we played the first D&D. We remember the music, fashion, movies and graphics that accompanied our sessions.

That's when we made the most beautiful and lasting friendships that last till this day. And yes - we're old, but we consider ourselves lucky to have lived through the beautiful years of the role playing games boom.

Nowadays we love role playing sessions and despite the epidemic we are not big fans of digital solutions. Simply put, for us Roll20 is just a substitute for real life adventures. There's nothing like an evening with pizza, rolling dice, high-fiving and crossing out life points with a pencil. Just like you we love RPGs.

Since 2019 we’ve been creating maps, scenarios, and content for RPG players (animated as well as static maps). Check out our Patreon page.

Risks and challenges

Risk is always a concern, so we have taken tangible mitigation steps to manage risk, particularly around fulfillment and manufacturing. Our top priority is to make an excellent gaming product that will do our brand, backers, and community proud. Please note that unforeseeable events are possible and in the event they delay the project, we will be open and communicative. Our commitment is to our backers as we know you are the lifeblood of this project. It is our policy to be accountable and deliver a product you will love. The main challenges are layout and proofing of the adventures, and managing the uncertain landscape for printing and shipping. Other risks include the new ones: the health of the core team, as well as business-related risks from COVID-related printer delays plus the recent tampering with the US Post Office. We'll keep you informed on any delays if they arise.
