"Mrs
Applebee says the sea is rising... One day it will rise so high
that it swallows everything up... The strange thing is that
no-one seems to care..."
This Ideas Tap Short-winning script tells the tale
of eight-year-old
Noah, who is increasingly terrified that lovely old England will be swept away.
Noah's parents think his obsession with taps and leaks is foolish, but even
they can't deny the growing storms that threaten to drown their little fishing
village.

We have just cast the fabulous Marcus Brigstocke as Noah's father, Lamech. You may remember him from QI, Have I Got News For You, Sorry I've Got No Head, and Love Actually. Marcus' character, Lamech, is contending not only with Noah's anxiety issues, but also with the breakdown of his marriage. We can't wait to see Marcus get his teeth into the gritty role!

BREAKING NEWS - John Nettles (Bergerac, Midsommer Murders) will be joining the cast. He will be playing Fisherman John, one of Lamech's colleagues.
Amongst the crew, there are
BAFTA winners, Oscar nominees, BBC staff, TV directors… and one lucky crew
member is even part of the new Bond film!
This film is instrumental in launching the careers of some fabulous female filmmakers - with a 90% female crew. This is vital in an industry where only 18% of directors are currently women, and that number is even lower for other crew members!

The
amount of special effects involved in this film require a little bit of
extra funding in order to make it truly spectacular! Your help will enable us
to have a VFX supervisor on set, and make sure the floods really come to life
as Noah sets sail in his bathtub. Let’s #MakeItRain !
Here's a breakdown of what we will be spending the budget on, so you know how you'll be buoying us up:
