SHADOWS!
I am making a new film, I'm crazy passionate about it and very excited! I have been making no budget films for 25 years, mostly horror, strange, weird, genre type films. My favourite genre of all however is Sci-Fi, and this will be my first totally Sci-Fi venture! Sure, I've made loads of films about aliens, and spaceships and things attacking from outer space, but this will be my first film that takes place on another planet! The story comes from the stories my older brother would tell me when we were kids to scare me.. Shadows that come alive at night and eat your soul!
What I have made of it is a bit more complicated. I have finally realized some of the characters I have been working on for the last 10 years. The film will have 2 main female heroes, an evil government that controls the only city on the planet (Covered by a huge dome) a haunted forest, an amazing robot, a doll collecting hero who lives in the dump, wizards and magicians, a society of zombie like people who live in the trees, and the sinister Shadow People who have made their own world called shadow land, and only venture into the forest when the darkness comes...

What We Would Like
Some money.. as you can see I have come up with a rather astonishing world that I am going to create this summer. I am a teaching assistant at an elementary school, which means I don't have a lot of money left over at the end of each month. Even though that has never stopped me before (I ALWAYS finish what I start) It would be nice if we could make this film look a bit better.
I have my own equipment, and won't need to buy anything like that. Over the years of making films I have built up a pretty good set up.
This film has an interesting challenge that I have never faced.. eg: Making a whole new planet inhabited by people who have never shopped at a wal-mart (Sounds lovely, doesn't it?)
So.. I will use any and all money I get for:
-Costumes
-Props
-Set dressing and building
I am sure that with the money I get I will be able to take a trip to value village and get most of what I need for costumes. I need to build a robot costume for one of the main characters. Various props.. lots of ray guns, things like that.
I can stretch a dollar better than most people I have ever met.. (I have to do it all the time anyway ;)
If you want to read the script before deciding to donate, no problem, just ask for it.
I am an accomplished musician, and I edit all my own films. And my wife is better than me at everything, so between the two of us we don't need any post production money or help.

Other Ways You Can Help
This is serious.. we will be looking for locations, and props and costumes...
If you have a forest in your backyard, we want to shoot there.. or an official office like space that could be from outer space.. or a room that could be a creepy dungeon, or even an underground bunker / cave thing.. anything like those would be great! Do you have a pile of prop laser guns? An amazing robot cosplay costume you want to donate?
